The Wingate Regina is a great hotel for a quick trip. We were attending a Rider game as a group of 6 and found the hotel to be perfect location to quickly access all the things to do in and around downtown. With close proximity to the casino, bars and dining it was great for our boys trip. The hotel itself was just okay. The staff was very friendly and efficient with check-in and out. The continental breakfast was very lack luster and could have had more options. Also I arrived at 9am and a lot of items were empty and had not been refilled. Additionally, toiletries in our rooms bathroom (body wash specifically) was empty and was not filled after our first night even after requesting it to a cleaning person. Overall it was a fine stay and would have no issues staying here again.

The Wingate offers a clean and comfortable stay in the downtown area. If the breakfast that is included is one of your decisions to stay, you may be disappointed. We were there two mornings. The first breakfast was sparse and there was a warming tray of cold egg scramble (not real egg) and meat? patties. The second day followed a Roughrider football game. This increased the number of people staying at the hotel and breakfast offerings went fast and took a long time to replace. As a person who requires gluten free food, I managed to find a yogurt on the first day, but non the second, and there was not much more to eat.

We stay at this hotel for Rider games quite often and the rooms are always clean, the staff are friendly and helpful.

Desk clerk may be too officious. When an old guy like me arrives to checkin his biggest need is a trip to the bathroom. Long drawn check-ins are not good.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Underground parking needs to be cleaned and lines repainted, but it was nice to have for Downtown Regina. The continental breakfast was not the greatest. All in all not a bad place to rest the head for a couple of nights.

What the reviews should say is the hotel is on the noisiest street imaginable. The room was clean, bed OK , but unexpected insult was you had to pay to park. Where do they think your going to leave your car. Won't be back.

Breakfast was great, our room was clean. Our only complaint was our bed was too hard. Would stay again. The casino is across the street so we had to go!

Convenient location and good price for our visit. Excellent staff. Not as fancy and new as some hotels but a pleasant stay. Would stay here again if I needed to do something in downtown Regina.

The hotel has not been maintained well and is not very clean. Towels all had stains all over them. Common areas are not kept clean bins are not emptied. The floors are not mopped. The property could do with a good clean. There was also a strange smell in my room. The shower in my room was also not working properly as the tap was spraying water out so the shower head would not fully work properly. Over all I would not plan on coming back here again unless they do some much needed renovations and maintenance

We loved everything about this hotel. Great rooms, staff, breakfast and yes close to Casino!! Unfortunately we had to pay for parking.

Staff were especially wonderful.

The breakfast was poor, front staff was difficult to deal with.

The hotel is lovely, despite its downtown location. It was loud with lots of traffic outside, but the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel does not allow you to check in without a credit card, however, and does not have the option to pay a cash deposit. Every other hotel we've stayed in across Canada allows this (not everyone has credit cards). The front desk agent was rude when we asked about it, and even worse when I asked if she could call someone. She paged another department instead of calling the manager (we could hear it through the phone), and told us she got voicemail. When we asked if she could try again because we had been on the road for 8 hours with a 9-month-old and really just wanted to get this sorted out, she slapped the manager's card on the desk and said to call him ourselves. Eventually we used a relatives credit card for the deposit, which we should not have had to do. The employee was correct in telling us the policy, but the way she handled it was extremely rude.

The coffee served is beyond TERRIBLE! I have never tasted anything so awful!
