This is a great place to unwind and dine. My sons and I love the short drive from Vegas

Its nice that its close to the mountains. Property does need some attention. Balconies in rooms are a plus .

The location is great! The property has a lot of deferred maintenance and the restaurant food was very disappointing (breakfast and dinner). Staff are nice and courteous. Rooms are clean.

The Retreat at Charleston Peak is anything but a retreat. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Maintenance has been neglected for years and ownership must not care. To describe the hotel in one word -- decrepit.

Mount Charleston is a beautiful escape from Vegas. We enjoyed the views from our 3rd floor room with balcony. The staff at the front desk, bar and restaurant were friendly. The property itself is a little run down and could use some updates but it was perfect for a quick getaway.

I wanted to beat the Vegas heat and was able to book a room with a balcony the day before. As many have mentioned, the property is outdated, but the scenery more than makes up for it. I loved that it was pet friendly, my doggie enjoyed the property as well.

Pros: Great views, low price, restaurant was nice being how there appears to be very few places to eat at mt Charleston area. Ambience was nice, small store open 24 for food and drink. CONS: Room 301 and other rooms on 3rd floor are not level, and not level by quite a bit. When walked in room you felt the angle of the floor right away. You can tell how bad the room is by looking at the outside door frame at the bottom. Our room could use some care and attention. Overall we were happy with our stay and would probably stay there again but will look for other places before selecting The retreat at mt chalestion

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and it was amazing. This trip not so much. Had to ask for rollaway bed twice. There was soap in the bathroom with hair on it when we got there as well as hair in the bathtub. The service and food at the restaurant was amazing, however.

Beautiful location, great balcony and view and had everything we needed. Due to high winds our power did go out and that was a bummer. No elevator so if that’s something you need this is not the place for you.

The bridal suite was incredible. The only complaint was the AC not being as effective as we would like

The Retreat has potential and is clearly in the process of updating its rooms and amenities, which is great to see. However, there are still some issues that need attention. The hallways on the 2nd and 3rd floors have uneven flooring and gaps in the laminate, creating dips and trip hazards that could be unsafe. Unfortunately, my stay also included a mix-up—on my second night, my room was double-booked. Another couple walked in using their key card, not realizing the room was already occupied. It was awkward and surprising for both of us, and I felt bad that the front desk couldn’t find another room for them. To top it off, my key card was deactivated, and I had to go to the front desk to get it reactivated and confirm my room was still reserved for the last night of my stay. Meanwhile, the other couple was still trying to sort out accommodations with no success. The night staff seemed overwhelmed, and I think additional training would help them handle situations like this more smoothly and professionally. On a positive note, the Retreat is ideally located for hiking and the ski resort. It's only a 20 minute drive to Skye Canyon where there are restaurants, fuel & groceries.

The Retreat on Charlston Peak is a beautiful property and an exquisite location. We enjoyed the craft fair, and even bustling with people, it’s peaceful here. The restaurant was terrific, especially the breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

This find was amazing! Super cute, older facility with a great restaurant and amazing staff working their tails off on the busy Memorial Day weekend. We would go there again if we are in that area.

Lovely place! A few comments...there is no electrical outlet to plug phone in. Every outlet is already used.. except bathroom! There isn't enough sugar and creamer for 2 cups of coffee! A microwave would be a total plus!
