Good value for price. Staff very helpful. Breakfast plentiful. Rooms are small but bed comfortable. I managed to swim laps for 30 minutes in the small pool. The sauna after the swim was a nice treat.

I came after the midnight but hotel was closed eventhough it was written on hotels.com that check in anytime. There was info tk call and i try, i speng 30 min untill somine pick up the phone. Hotel was full of cars. They answer for parking request after checkout, disaster. I try to find contact on Google, auto messege and then call was end..

The hotel is very quaint and feels very typical of the area, although the rooms are basic when compared to the big chain hotels, they serve the purpose, the beds are comfortable and the water is hot. The food in the restaurant was of a fantastic quality and the portions were somewhat enormous, but it was nice to eat traditional foods, not the same as anywhere in the world. my only cause for dropping the star was the strange waste bag alongside the toilet which was not empty when I arrived and contained possibly something very unpleasant. which during my stay even after requesting something be done with said bag, nothing was, rooms were not dressed during the stay, and towels not refreshed at all. the hotels.com status was not rewarded in the hotel, considering I did book two rooms, for myself and a colleague. I would stay there again if I have another visit to the area.

I arrive late and receive messages to get instruction on the key (nobody at the lobby after 10pm) which was good, but in Danish... happy to have google translate :). The room and hotel is cute and clean. the breakfast was very good. I will go back for any business stay close to Kolding.

Beautiful decor with lots of character plus great breakfast

Hotel was fine. All except the unexpected pet charge at checkout. Almost half of the daily charge for a 3 mo old puppy. I selected a pet friendly hotel and could not find any disclosure that I would incur a pet fee. I argued with the receptionist but was rudely told that’s in their policy.

We felt like family at this very charming and historic hotel. Anders and Louisa are such friendly and helpful managers. We do not speak Danish but their English was more than perfect. Our dining experiences were outstanding and the breakfasts were superb. We were in Denmark for meetings and the hotel’s facilities were excellent for all of us. Thank you for an exceptional stay.

Very friendly Staff, specially in the front desk, restaurant is very clean and delicious food and the staff was super friendly,,, we absolutely stay again!!!!

We stayed at the hotel many years back, and nothing has changed since then. The hotel needs a complete renovation and modernisation. The straw roof look disgusting and need to be changed. The paint is cracking on doors and windows. The bathrooms are not up the expectations. Hot water keep des appearing. The hairdryer is some 40 years old, when we spent our honeymoon there. The hotel does certainly not live up to 4 stars. One does not kryb i ly at the hotel.
