Excellent!!!

The location and hotel itself is OK ( ... yep a bit pricey ...), food was OK, staf we fine. But the electric car charging was complete joke. Provided by some local company, help only in german language and QR codes for one-time charging did not work. Just wondering if they really work (for austrian citizens) or if they are just a scam for tourists. They can do better in 2024.

The hotel is located within an easy walk to the old town. The spa is connected to the hotel underground. The weather was terrible when we were there and so we had dinner in the hotel restaurant that turned out to be wonderful. Staff and service were great. The spa really makes this place special (although some Americans may not be comfortable with mixed-sex nudity, which is required in the sauna areas).

Hotel is located just 7 min walk from both train station and the old centre of Leoben. The check-in was fast, room is spacious and quite with a nice view. It was a pleasant surprise to discover a 50m outside pool and indoor spa facilities (several saunas and air bubble spa pools), all included with your stay. The staff was friendly.

As far as the room goes, it was fine, clean, albeit a little basic for this price point. Bed was a little hard and furniture needs updating. Disappointing parking is charged (8 EUR) considering the location and basic rough grass / gravel parking. However, main issue and reason for this poor review is down to the frankly rude and abrupt receptionist when checking out. All down to a dispute over meal charges for supposedly my dinner included room rate. When seated in the restaurant I asked the server if there was a set menu etc. for my dinner included room rate, she wasn't sure but would check. Nearly 20mins later I eventually got an answer that I could order from the set menu or a la carte, surprised I double checked this and she again confirmed whatever the bill amount it would be deducted from my bill at check out. Meal itself was ok if nothing special but the service was incredibly slow for a half empty restaurant. At check out I was then presented the bill for last nights meal, I politely stated my room had dinner included and received a response of 'NO, you must pay'. I then showed my email confirmation with 'dinner included' and ensued a near 20min battle with the receptionist. Who eventually said ok we deducted 35 EUR but you must pay the rest. I told her I'd checked this with the server and round in circles we went. Eventually after a huge amount of frustration she slung my bill at me and said 'ok, goodbye'. Very poor customer service, I won't be staying again!

One of the nicest places in Leoben. Beautiful grounds and easy access to everything.

Great hotel. Large open spaces to work or relax. Good spa features if you like that sort of thing. Fantastic breakfast!

I was there for work, but still found time to go to the spa for a few hours. The rooms/building are modern while still having soul.

The Falkensteiner is an excellent high quality hotel and spa. Spa is included! Great breakfast buffet with everything including cooked eggs station. My only two complaints were uneven housekeeping (sometimes towels and coffee supplies were not reloaded). My second complaint is smoking on the site. people were not permitted to smoke in rooms but people smoked on their private balconies and thus smoke came into our room. We had to close the windows - too bad since Leoben is such a clean, fresh country. Smoking outside entrances was also poor form.

Staying in the area for a race at Red Bull Ring and this Hotel ticked every box. Great hotel and staff

Relaxing..easy going. Just what you would expect from this kind of hotel.

Everything is great except the beds are very hard.

I only stayed one night but was pleased with everything. A solid 4 star hotel that met expectations.
