Location is ok, relatively far from most wanted tourist attraction (forbidden city). Summer palace is relatively close but is far if you intend to walk to reach it. I mean, Summer Palace is relatively close but not in walking distance. The front desk staff were dynamic and helpful. The concierge are helpful and are trying their best to speak English to help you. I do appreciate them. If you need to see Forbidden Palace, it is advisable to use Beijing subway (Line 10, Changchun Qiao Station), which is located approx 800 meters to the left of the hotel. There are Beijing Taxi which queues in front of the hotel or passing through the road in front of the hotel. However, nor taxis that queue at the hotel nor those that pass the road in front of the hotel are willing to take you to Forbidden City. They just don't expect passengers to downtown (on the reason of traffic jam), but to airport. You hail them, then they just ignore you. I experienced this myself. Overall, the hotel itself is good, and clean. Recommended for business traveller, but not for holiday or recreation.
