Wonderful accommodations. Everything was as described. Will definitely use expedia and Hyatt again.

Great stay

The room was dirty upon arrival. Hairs on pillows, dirt and stains on bedding. Safety bolt lock on door was hanging by screws. Shower barely worked. Family of 6 staying in the room and they stocked it with 3 bath towels. No extra roll of toilet paper in the room. Hotel front desk wasn’t regularly staffed. Just one individual that randomly popped up when guests would show up. Incredibly unprofessional. Overall very poor stay for paying $300 for the weekend. Do better, Hyatt.

Comfortable

The staff was very accommodating and professional I was very impressed with everything clean rooms and roomier than I thought it would. The kids emjoyed the pool. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Clean room

Overall, Hyatt Place Grand Rapids-South did not disappoint. It was convenient for our trip needs. Property was very clean and the room suitable. We especially appreciate the walk-in showers and bath products. Two areas that were disappointing: Housekeeping did not provide service during our stay. The breakfast offered by the hotel was not appealing: scrambled eggs were cold (and we arrived a few minutes after breakfast began), and only sausage was an accompanying option. Staff were professional and friendly.

Toilet paper holder was coming off the wall. The tap in the sink spun around. Had to ask for lotion and facial tissue as non was restocked in my room. The last straw was when I opened the refrigerator and found 2 boxes of left over dried up pizza and bread sticks assumingly from the previous occupant. The outside grounds by ashtrays was littered with cigarette butts and one ashtray with the lid off was so full of trashI didn’t even use it and deposited my snuffed out butt in the larger trash can.

When walking in you are greeted with a clean modern lobby. Friendly staff. Check in was quick and easy. The room was beyond our expectations and perfect for pur family getaway. The staff was accommodating to needs we had and went above and beyond to help us with simple things.

Parking was well lighted. AC was in room controlled.

The stay was good! The only thing that was a bit odd was when we asked for water we were told yall didnt have any, but then told if we were discover members, we could have some. Strange to withhold water

Hotel is very nice. Very moden. Rooms are great! Very spacious. The lobby furniture is poorly planned. Yall have chairs right behind where people check in blocking the path of other guests to get through the only path from the front doors to the elevators . I had to shove them out of the way repeatedly to get theough without rubbin butts. You advertise a curated fresh new take on breakfast on the site and on posters in the elevators... but you have NOTHING of the sort. Its the same crap rubber sausage powdere eggs, oatmeal, 3 kinds of cereal, generic bagles and white bread. Waffle station. No milk, No butter, no fruit. Same trash as everywhere else. Wasted trip downstairs. This not fresh, not curated, well curated by an accountant or cheap frachise owner maybe. The rooms themselves are great.

Fruit was horrible shape, no complimtary water , whoever supplies fruit is sorely lacking, juice terrible.

I’ve stayed at this location multiple times. The staff are always friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location.

The only issue was the the water spigot in the tub we first couldn’t turn off finally got it and then couldn’t turn back on in morning reported it to front desk

Very large rooms. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They had a very nice pool. Breakfast was vey good.
