Didn’t have breakfast

The room was clean and comfortable. Some areas looked tired. Paint work chipped in the room. But overall the room was clean and pleasant. We stayed over night in preparation for a wedding the next day. The staff were lovely and friendly. We stayed in the lounge area after a nice meal. Nice atmosphere. Breakfast was good and plenty of selection for breakfast. Really enjoyed the stay. There was plenty of Parking spaces.

Room was a lovely size and well decorated. Room was relatively clean, with the exception of a few dead bugs in the windows. Room service was slightly disappointing with some items not arriving, and no answer on the phone after to sort it. 10 calls and a voicemail. Breakfast was also disappointing, the cost of £18 per person was very steep especially with very little selection on offer. The highlight to all this that made it a bit better, was Liz who worked at the breakfast station who was very welcoming and apologised for the room service mishap. Her and all the staff we interacted with were all great. We would probably stay again, but we would eat dinner somewhere else before and either bring breakfast with us or checkout early and get something on the road

Hotel OK but well out of the 2am for where I wanted to be.

Staff+food were faultless. Bed wasn't the comfiest though, so might need a rethink + shower temp was a bit mad; one nudge the wrong way and it was scalding. But overall, a positive stay with wonderful views and the staff are really, really brilliant people! :)

Average stay, had always heard good things about hawkstone but unfortunately it needs a fair amount of work doing to the hotel grounds and exterior to compliment the interior. The ‘driving range’ ball dispenser was broken and dispensed just a handful of broken and poor quality balls, the mats and baskets were broken and generally the place just looked unkempt (appreciate this is a golf club issue). The room was comfortable and clean but breakfast was over priced at £18 each for a limited cooked menu was extortionate.

I booked 3 rooms in total as visiting an event, the first two rooms were booked as twin rooms and my room was booked as a double, when I arrived the reception said all 3 rooms were twins which I disagreed with but had no option but to take the room. thankfully this was away from the function room that was hosting a wedding, unfortunately the other two rooms I did book where right above the function room and the walls were bouncing. The hotel had not informed us of this function or I would have requested quiet rooms. Only the bar was open for food and it was a very limited menu (burger or pizza) due to the wedding. Overall I was not impressed on the staff attitude - receptionist and not being advised of the wedding prior to our arrival. I travel a lot and most hotels will advise if there is a function on so you can ask for a quiet room.

Rooms was as stated online! Very comfortable and clean and my single room had ample space! Staff were very helpful and professional! Would recommend!

Lovely hotel, super comfy beds, rooms were clean and breakdast delish. Staff on reception very friendly and welcoming

The staff were all so lovely and welcoming, it didn't feel too pretentious at all. Our room was gorgeous and extremely spacious, the bed was lovely - clean, soft and crisp sheets. Plenty of storage and seats in the room and a dresser/desk.

We booked this hotel because of a wedding not far from the hotel. The room was clean, the staff was extremely welcoming and generally lovely! Overall great atmosphere. Some fixtures in the shower were a little bit dated and may need updating, but took nothing away from our lovely stay.

Clean and tidy room

The hotel didn’t have the courtesy to tell us that they were having a private event which took over the entire ground floor rooms including the main dining room. Because of the fact that great numbers of the party guests were standing all over the dining area, plus the extremely loud disco and pop up casino. It was impossible for us to have dinner, so we had to go out about 12miles to find a restaurant on a Saturday night that wasn’t full. Terrible stay , never would go back. Breakfast was mediocre, and needed replenishing.

We had our wedding at The Hawkstone Park Hotel last year and wanted to come back for our first wedding anniversary. The hotel was as wonderful as it was the day we got married. We will be back next year and will stay more than one night next time!

Nice location. Close to West Midlands Shooting Grounds and a short drive to Shrewsbury. 2 nice golf courses. Also has a great breakfast. A small fridge in the room would have been nice

Staff friendly, polite and helpful. A bit out of the way.

The reason I gave the 2 stars for check in is actually disappointment with Expedia because we were put in an accessibility room which was small and dingy. The hotel did find us an alternative room but it wasn't a nice experience having to complain as soon as we arrived.

Stayed for a wedding function, staff exceeded expectations from the initial check in, attentive staff, excellent customer experience. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.

Really nice stay after a charity event, good breakfast in the morning with good selection. No air-con in the room which was needed only a very noisy fan.

contacted the hotel a couple of days before arrival to discuss dietary needs as I have life threatening allergies.. great helpful response. But on arrival there was no food they put an emergency meal together which was tasteless and proteinless.. I told the waiter I couldn't eat.. I had a couple of mouthfuls .. and yet they still charged me £22 for it.. because of the difficulty I was left weak as rice in bland tomato juice was all I had eaten all day.. so unable to argue at the time. I showed them the email sent as proof but they didn't care. If I had nothing in advance it would be my fault but I did so it is all on the hotel.
