Hotel Chateaubriand was clean and comfortable. No elevator hence 4 stars. Parking limited but perhaps book ahead to ensure a space. Walk into the city centre for shops etc only about 10 minutes. Really friendly and helpful receptionist when I arrived (2/10/25). Would definitely stay again when visiting Nantes.

Bargain double room with secure parking (payable on check-in), great location for exploring Nantes. Everything is within 10-30 minutes walk. Easy on-line check in but wouldn’t work on an iPhone, couldn’t enter my country of origin as the drop down menu wouldn’t scroll. Can’t fault the room for a budget hotel, had a good night sleep with the black out blinds and comfy bed.

Very good location, close to the town centre. The hotel is small, with little space to spare, but it is cozy and has the basic amenities for a few days' stay.

oveall my stay was very pleasant. great position for all of the atractions and restaurants, staff were friendly. room nice and clean. a little tired looking in decor.

Accueil chaleureux. Chambre simple mais propre. Plein centre et surtout parking privé gratuit pour voiture et local pour vélo. Un vrai bonus! À refaire sans hésitation.

Tea and coffee were supposed to be available in bedroom which wasn't complained the receptionist said that he would bring tea was not only lukewarm but got charged for it the following day and reception denied it was on booking so basically I was a liar!

First time in Nantes , so glad we stayed here,small budget Hotel , Basic but very clean, the Manager was a Star,made us feel comfortable as soon as we arrived,very Helpful and made us feel special on our first visit,I can honestly say he made our weekend excellent,really enjoyed our stay, Thanks ,we will return

Superb, great area, close to everything

No staff after 9 pm. Very small building not very clean. Also this hotel was not near the train station.

Room for three was small - hard to fit three suitcases in - but the front desk people were helpful and friendly. Breakfasts for 8 euros were good. Quiet place near downtown. NOT for anyone wanting American hotel experience - it is a small French hotel. Wifi could be sketchy.

This is a great budget hotel in an excellent location for Nantes. The room was quite small, but I was happy we were able to fit six people in it. It worked well as a place to sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The staff was very nice. The room was very clean. No complaints from me. Short walk to the cathedral.
