Property manager was very nice. The breakfast bar was great and Vanessa is so sweet and helpful. Beds were comfortable and clean. Indoor pool was nice but water was cold but when we mentioned it to the manager he immediately went to try and adjust it.

We had issues with check in, being told we didn't have a reservation. Then said our card had fail multiple times in the previous days as payment. Not true as nothing was wrong with the card. Finally checked us in saying they found what had happened and that wasn't our card. Got our room key and left for festival, upon returning to hotel my son opened our room to find a man half asleep in bed. We were then given another room which was comfortable but had a tile falling off at bathtub that looked like black mold behind it. Saturday we got up asked for no maid service except towels so we could shower after a music festival in 90°+ temps. Upon returning from festival we had no towels, we were told they didn't have towels it would be 8 am to get towels. Went down for towels at 8 am still no towels and was told it would be an hour. Decided to call Holiday Inn directly to get resolution for problems at property was given a claim number and customer service rep called hotel against my wishes ( i asked her to wait until we showered and were checking out) upon returning to lobby i was yelled at by owner/manager (whatever his position) because he was angry we reported the ridiculous service received here. He told we couldn't evshower we were to leave immediately or he was calling the police. He said he would refund our stay and when leaving and asked for the receipt showing reimbursement he refused and said he wasn't refunding anything. Said they did nothing wrong.

Property was very clean and quiet. Good breakfast. Excellent value. Property right off interstate highway so no real scenery and parking beside room a little cramped however area was clean with very quick access to airport which was important to us

The guy at the front desk is friendly and tries to fix the problem. However, our first room smelled like body odor, mildew, and mold. Then we get switched to another room and absolutely none of the outlets work whatsoever. We even looked for a switch that might control the outlets. Also, the website states that the pool is open when it is unfortunately closed.

The building was poorly maintained and the shuttle from the airport was expensive. The pool was very dirty and the parking lot in disrepair. There were clearly short staffing issues. It is a budget hotel, and ultimately there was what we needed: a clean bed, a working shower, and a parking spot for our rental car. In addition, the location made it very easy to go to and from town (I recommend back roads instead of the highway). In addition, there is a Waffle House across the street. The service was great, and for the price was great for the quality of food.

DO NOT STAY! If I can save people from staying here at The Holiday Inn Express IHG near the airport from getting Bed Bugs I am going to do just that. That was my experience staying at this hotel and I tried to express the severity of my bites after I notice them the next morning and the hotel manager refused to speak to me after several attempts in trying to contact him to discuss the situation. We only communicated through email and after expressing to him of the bed bug I found after I was bit severely, he tried saying that myself and my two boys had trashed the rooms and when I say rooms, yes we stayed and got moved to another room, which I was on edge all night, but for not being familiar with the area, and having to get up for a tournament I had felt I had no choice but to move to another room, after leaving and emailing the manager about my stay, the manager then emailed me saying that they were considering tacking on a cleaning fee because they said both rooms we were in the one we were in the first night where I found the bug and the room we got moved to. The manager just didn’t want to compensate me whatsoever and so he tried to say that we had trashed both rooms. It was a ordeal trying to get some compensation for my troubles. Never have I had to experience anything like this. So, again if I can save anyone especially families from staying here.

The cleanliness of the room was very poor. The floors were not vacuumed. The pool was murky and icy. The breakfast was poor as well. Staff yelled at people eating that they had to leave at 9:30 on the dot. This was literally yelled at everyone an hour before. Additionally, the eggs were very watery and had hair in them. The next day, the eggs were served in a red bucket. No, I did not eat them. The front staff did not pick up their phone, so a shuttle could not come to the airport. We ended up getting a rental. The poorest service and condition I have ever encountered. This makes me never want to stay at a holiday inn of any sort.

The hotel itself is okay at best. For the price I expected a little nicer. There are very limited food options right next to the hotel besides a bar and a waffle house. My room was ok, but another guest was talking to staff about there room being covered in blood. When I checked in, I had 2 dogs, and i advised the desk clerk. When i advised him I asked about $25 for the pet fee and the clerk stated it was $35, but for me he would do $25. I thought this was very strange seeing as online it says $25 and the clerk made it seem shady. A different clerk, however did help with finding paper to print something, so that was positive. The parking lot was very well lit, but no cameras. The parking lot was also having some work done so was very bumpy. When checking out I got another random $50 charge that Im waiting to see what it turns out to be, but should never have happened. Overall, i give the hotel a 3 out of 5. Again, for the price it was a decent hotel that was a place to sleep for 8 hrs and leave. I would not want to spend multiple days here, but for someone traveling it is a hotel that isnt bug infested and has cold A/C woth good beds.

The room was clean and comfortable. High rating for that, but room key did not open the doors near our room. So we had to keep going to the front entrance. No one working at the front desk when we needed help or even towels we had to wait and wait and finally call and then someone would come.

We arrived late (about 2am) for a room to crash overnight on a long drive. I booked a room for 2 beds for a colleague and myself, and after a long check in process, the room only had 1 bed. I had to argue with the front desk concierge that the room assigned to us only had 1 bed, so he finally put us in a different room with 2 beds like I had booked. At this point, the AC would not work - I went back to the front desk to explain, but they assured me that the AC would eventually turn on. It did not. I will make a point to never book at this hotel in the future.
