Nice location. But room. No Fridge or so.

The location is great and nice breakfast. The rooms need renovation.

Check-in time is mentioned as 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the hotels.com website. But in the confirmation email, they changed and mentioned that reception is manned only from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. after that hours, it is self check-in. Unfortunately I was not able to reach my email. So i didn't know this info before arriving the hotel. I was surprised that I am not able to enter hotel. and there is no telephone number to contact anybody.

Decent hotel, good breakfast.

The hotel itself is ”past its glory days”. The overall impression could be improved by small things, eg by changing the shower heads and renewing the towels etc. However, the service was superb! The staff was super friendly and accomodating and we felt well taken care of throughout the whole stay. Good location, great sea view, good walking... We would stay here again if in Borgolm!

We arrived during the off season in April. The bar and restaurant were closed during our stay. Breakfast was served and it was very good. The staff were all very polite and all spoke English very well. There was ample parking. The town of Borgholm is small so walking from the hotel was not a problem. The ancient castle is accessible from a walking trail from the hotel which was enjoyable.

After reading some of the comments regarding the condition of Strand Hotel we were worried however our stay was very enjoyable. Our two rooms were bright and spotless as were the bathrooms (showers only). The view over the harbor from our rooms was very nice. The service was very good with friendly and helpful personal. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a variety of cold and hot dishes. The city center of Borgholm was only a short walk away from the hotel. All in all we were very happy with our choice of Strand Hotel.

A nice view, great location at the harbour and good breakfast buffet. However, the hotel has seen its best days. It is in serious need of a renovation and it would be a shame to say they have a spa. Everything down there looks 30 years old and most probably is!

Great views of the water and marina! Very charming and close to the popular city walking street. Room was a good size too and had a balcony.

the rooms are in really bad condition. The badrooms is from 1970....

Excellent location, near the beach and city center. Large room, excellent breakfast. The bathroom must be improved in order to avoid water from falling on the floor.

Mycket bra boende med pool och bekvämligheter, nära till centrum.

Fantastiskt rent och fräscht. Fönstren var fördragna när jag kom så det var en behaglig temperatur i rummet trots solen ute. Perfekt.

Bra läge. Bra service. Jättefin altan vid vattnet. Rummet gammalt och slitet. Blev mycket varmt på natten och svårt att sova. Ingen A/C och ingen möjlighet att vädra pga gatuplan.

Vårat rum kändes lite nedgånget, vi fick ett rum i den ”gamla” delen av hotellet. Helhetsintrycket var bra och frukosten var riktigt bra!
