Great food and staff

Our room was lovely and clean. We enjoyed our salt scrub and massage on the beach while listening to the waves and the breeze in the Palm Trees. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent food at the on site restaurant. Note of concern was the pool looked a little cloudy. We did appreciate all the work that was being done to clear the beach of the sea grass.

The property is well maintained and has a welcoming atmosphere, although some areas would benefit from renovation and modernization. Unfortunately, the beach is not easily accessible because of the amount of sargassum. The staff is exceptionally courteous, friendly, and always willing to help. The restaurant and bar provide a pleasant dining experience and excellent drinks in an outside setting. The continental breakfast needs improvement.

Gorgeous and amazing resort!! You feel like you are truly in Belize and not a hotel resort like feel. Rooms great, staff amazing. Staff can assist in everything. Make sure to rent a golf cart for stay to get around. Chris the gentleman who runs the charter boats for fishing and snorkeling super amazing guy too. Belize people are friendly, and accommodating. Very much vibe of Costa Rica with smiles and great attitude.

This resort was absolutely beautiful, the staff made it even better. Rosita was our favorite!! So welcoming and fun. Staff were always cleaning and always very friendly. Sunrise steps outside your door on the beach or pier was my favorite part!! Breakfast and coffee in the morning was wonderful. Have plenty of wonderful things to say about this place. It was nice that it was away from the noise of the city but it was a very bumpy long ride to and from, you definitely need a golf cart to get around. 20 minutes from secret beach was a plus since there’s a lot of sargasm on this side of the island. Only thing I would suggest would be to add some hooks in the rooms to hang things to dry.

Beautiful quiet hideaway.

Wonderful breakfast, lunch and pasta dinner. It is remote from the hustle and bustle but the view is great. The rooms are comfy. The pool is wonderful. The cozy porch’s of the cabana are great for reading a book.

We enjoyed our stay so much. We wanted a place to relax and that is exactly what we did. We watched the sunrise from the pier every morning and loved lounging by the pool. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again soon!

I traveled with my mom, and from the very beginning, the experience was seamless. Even before we arrived, the communication was excellent—they made sure every detail for our beachfront cabana was just right. When we got there, we were welcomed with cocktails, which immediately set the tone for a warm, elevated experience. We stayed in Cabana #6, and I can’t say enough about how beautiful and well-kept everything was. The room was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and felt like a true retreat. You could tell they really care about the details. A huge shoutout to Faura and Rosita at the front desk—they were absolutely exceptional. From pre-arrival communication to in-person service, they went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of every step of the way. The food was incredible, and I especially loved the light continental breakfast included with the stay—it was the perfect, easy start to each day in paradise. Whether you’re traveling solo, with a partner, or with family like I was, this place offers such a beautiful and relaxing escape. Belize never disappoints, and San Pedro continues to be one of my favorite places to return to. This was my first stay at Portofino, and it definitely won’t be my last. Highly recommend☀️

Great location north of town for a quiet and relaxing vacation!

Everything what we wanted to do, we did and enjoyed. Bikes were available at no cost, we enjoyed to be able to bike to other resorts. Every day you had the choice for dinner outside or inside. The location is great, away from the busy San Pedro town, Golf Cart City. Nothing the people in the resort, do all to make your stay perfect.

We had a nice stay at Portofino. The staff were friendly, the location was beautiful - right along the beach. Our room was nice and clean. We loved the corn hole game, delicious libations, and tasty food. The front desk staff were helpful in coordinating a golf-cart for us, as well as a ride to/from the airport. The nature surrounding the property was very peaceful!

This is our second time at Portofino, and it was excellent. Far enough away from the city to be quiet and peaceful. Close enough to get to great restaurants and bars. The staff is friendly and readily available at all times. Accommodations are clean and quaint. Their dive shop has everything you would want to do to experience the sea life and pristine waters. I recommend a dive or snorkeling adventure with Kris. The fresh coconuts with rum just down the road from Steve and Angel and Roddie’s cocktails at the bar. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great spot. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful and the drinks at the bar were refreshing and priced right. We had a wonderful stay.

The resort was exactly as described. The location and grounds were beautiful. Our cabana was perfect. We walked right onto the soft sand and steps from the pool and sea. All the staff were super from the hosts, bartenders, restaurant team, ground keepers and security with dog Max. Plus having the charter Carpe Diem on the dock made it so easy to do reef activities and that team was super! We loved Belize and staying on North side of island where was so chill, but yet many restaurant options nearby. Easy to rent a golf cart to get around island, and fun to go into San Pedro for a day. We will go back to Belize and Portofino and scuba and snorkel with Chris and ML at Carpe Diem! And highly recommend to anyone looking for more laid back, but beautiful place to stay. We met many people on our stay at other resorts who would come back in the evening just to dine at Portofino. Or use Carpe Diem for reef activities.
