Good location but we had to ask for a room clean due to the black hair in the bathroom and over the carpet in the bedroom. The bathroom door didn't fully close. We kept the curtains closed as there was a balconey opposite that looked in, and when someone walked overhead the floor creaked- a lot (age of property) Where the hotel shines are the reception, bar and (especially) the breakfast and restaurant staff. Friendly, informative and efficient. Both breakfast and an evening meal were delicious. We managed to park at the hotel and despite there being a wedding we were not bothered by party noise.

Excellent stay in a quieter part of York but just 10 mins walk to the centre. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location for walking into York and being able to leave the car at the hotel. Shower was leaking quite badly and had been for a while as the floor was black in parts due to this. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable

Lovely hotel. Our room was gorgeous, spacious and stylish. Super comfy bed. Reception staff were especially helpful, kind and polite.

Hotel in a great location - 10 minutes walk to the railway station, 20 minutes to the centre of York. Staff all friendly and helpful. Great idea to offer guests the option of bar voucher instead of daily housekeeping.

The hotel is in an excellent location near Micklegate and only a 5-10 minute gentle stroll into the town centre. There are a host of restaurants and pubs in the immediate locale. Whilst we didn’t eat at the hotel, the room was spacious and furnished to a high standard. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful.

Staff were excellent - very friendly and extremely helpful. We had an issue with a blocked wash hand basin and it was resolved immediately. The room was not quite delux but overall clean. The main good point of our stay were the staff who were exceptional!

Lovely stay. Fantastic large stylish room. Took our dog who was very welcome and provided with a bed and treats.

excellent stay, only one drawback, room wasn’t ready on time, did receive complimentary drink though which was nice. Everything else was very good.

Excellent stay, great location, fabulous service and beautiful weather. Drinks in the courtyard in the sun was perfect! Would have got 5*all the way but the folding bed for our 3 year old did exactly that, folded all the time lol. It wasn’t a major issue as we moved the mattress to the floor. Sorted. Thanks for a great stay.
