I wouldn’t even know where to begin but I’ll condense it to 3 main points. 1) First of all, there are repair works all around the place so it was very hard to even spot where the entrance door was. This may be overlooked as a minor issue but it would’ve been courteous for them to let us know especially as I spoke to the reception staff a day before getting there. As soon as we walked, I couldn’t help but notice a very strong repugnant smell lingering around. 2) The hotel staff were the rudest people I have encountered in my entire life of customer-public relations. I was scoffed at and told to go elsewhere for asking for a fan due to the hot weather. Their tone of voice was very condescending and I was told to go away (allora vattene via) in Italian when asked “how I was expected to stay here with two young kids without hot water to shower with??” 3) NONE of the BASIC necessities a hotel is supposed to provide were there i.e. NO HOT WATER, NO FAN/AIR CONDITIONING and NO BREAKFAST in the morning eventhough these were ALL promised in our booking information.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and were surprised by this hotel. We did not expect much from a 1 star hotel but it ended up being better than a lot of other hotels that we had stayed at. We had originally booked a room with a shared bathroom, however, the staff upgraded our room with a private bathroom for just 3 euros more. The room was great and had all the needed amenities. Even though there was no AC, they provided a fan which cooled the room nicely. It is also about a 2-3 minute walk from a metro station which takes you to the city center in about 10-15 minutes. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will recommend hotel Edy.

The hotel could use some work. The shower was tiny, door had a crack in it and the shower head sprayed water everywhere. The heating was inadequate as we were cold atnight. Room size was adequate. Owner spoke no English. 20 mins walk to San Siro and 5 to metro.

Friendly staff with reasonable English, but room had lights not working, broken wash area shelf in bathroom so nowhere to put anything, good double bed and clean bed linen, tea making facilities but no milk (and no coffee or anything else), one main corridor with tiled floor with signs asking guests to be quiet and respect others .. but in the morning at 6.30 woken up by non stop very loud talking and laughing from reception .. and this was the staff!! Free coffee at reception in morning - but stay away from the sweet jam tart!

Spent 2 nights at Hotel Edy to catch Inter Milan’s last game of the season. In that respect it’s about a 20 min. walk to the San Siro in a quiet neighbourhood. In terms of getting into the city it’s 5 mins. or so walk to two either of two metro stops and then around a 20 min. journey to Duomo. Seems like a small, family run hotel. The building was rather tired but OK. Staff were friendly and helpful, although didn’t seem to speak much English (but then why do so many of us Brits and alike always expect them to?!). I had a ground floor room which was spacious and had a shower and rather bizarrely a bidet but no toilet – there were two toilets on the floor, one with another shower. Was offered a coffee from a machine and a piece of fruit torta for breakfast at reception, which was fine. Didn’t use the Wifi. There are two Carrefour supermarkets nearby – the one towards the San Siro is 24 hour – plus plenty of local cafes for a coffee and croissant, and other bars, restaurants and small shops. Simple, comfortable and inexpensive, and ideal for what I wanted. If you want your luxuries or maybe for a longer stay you’d probably have to go elsewhere and pay more!

The room is super small, you cannot pass the bed once the closet door is open and the closet door cannot open all the way. The shower stall is so tiny that if you are a bigger person, don't even try to get in. They should not be call a hotel, maybe a pension as they don't clean the room every day, just make the bed and gave you fresh towels, and you get 2 tiny tiny bars of soap and 1 package of shower gel the first day, no amenities that a hotel normally will provide. They don't clean the shower at all and leave the hair on the drain. The staffs were nice and helpful, but I don't think we will stay there again. They promised me an air condition room if available, but actually I don't think any rooms has air con. Then they said if the room don't have air con I can have a fan, when I ask, they said they don't have them yet and it was 85 F in Milan the last few days. I was not very happy.

I stayed at Hotel Edy for a work trip. I'm self employed so wanted to keep the costs down but still be able to get around Milan easily. Hotel Edy was perfect. The bed was super comfortable. It's a very basic room but that's all I needed. It never took longer than half an hour via metro to get anywhere. It's a five minute walk from Bande Nere metro stop. The staff were brilliant and I just loved their little pet dog!!!! I'll defintely try to stay here again next fashion week.

The morning staff woman who checked us in early was very friendly (Our room was not ready yes so she changed us to one that was ready). She also gave us directions on how to get around the town. The room was very clean and quiet so our stay was enjoyable.

Hotel Edy is in very peaceful locality. Although away from all main attractions but just few mins walkable from Gambara Metro station. Room was small but comfortable for two persons. Staffs are good and helpful.

Booked here for a one day business trip to Milan, trying to keep the cost down as it was quite last minute. This hotel had good reviews but, aside from the staff (who were as friendly and helpful as possible) the experience was really, really bad. To start with, we arrived late in the evening due to our flight arrival. When we got to the hotel my colleague's room which he had a confirmation for (and we could see his name in their reservations book!) had been given to another guest who, we were told, 'had arrived with a child so we gave them your room'. The receptionist just said we could both sleep in my room as it would 'be cheaper' and now the other guest was asleep anyway! I have never experienced such a bizzare attitude to a situation like this. Then when we got into the room there were two single beds pushed together with a double sheet and duvet over them. Nobody helped us or even made the beds up with new sheets for the bed that inevitably needed to be stripped so that we could separate the single beds. The 'shared bathroom' was awful. The shower leaked all over the floor so the next person to use it was faced with a soaking floor and bath mat. Not great if you've taken some clothes into the bathroom with you! Basically, it's incredibly poor accommodation that is obviously pretty badly run. The benefit is that it's cheap, near a metro and near a great late-night bar with a stunning selection of beers. If you want a good stay, avoid Hotel Edy.

It was great for the price. The place had a homely feeling. The room and bathroom is open as one room so thankfully it wasn't a mom and son trip cause there's no privacy in the room. The toilet was at the end of the hall. The room had a badit not a toilet which didn't make sense. All the stores were closed early within walking distances, not a convenient store anywhere. Only one flat pillow person was provided no extras in the closet. The owner was very pleasant and his dog was cute.

The staff was amazing and friendly! Room was nice and we slept well in our beds. There was a huge fan by the beds for air conditioning. Wifi was excellent in our room. Nice restaurants in the neighborhood. Five minutes walk to the metro. Ten minutes ride to the center from there. Not taxi friendly, ride takes about 20 minutes in a taxi to the center and costs 20 euros. Price was great. But the staff really shines, thanks!

A great budget option in a residential neighborhood. The metro is only 5 minutes away. The friendly owner gave us a warm welcome.

This was our first time in Milan and Hotel Edy helped us so much to make our stay amazing and comfortable. It is in a residential area, less than 5 min walk to the Metro. It felt super safe even coming back late at night from the Navigli district which i highly recommend for people of all ages to check out. The staff were so friendly and in the morning when we woke up the pretty lady with super curly hair offered us a cappuccino and some treats for breakfast. She was so enthusiastic and helpful, as was the rest of the staff who were always kind too :) Great way to start our morning. The rooms were a nice size with a small shower in the corner and were always clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Milan.

This hotel was excellent value for money. Staff were very friendly and only too happy to help, hotel was probably on a par with Travel Lodge. Located close to the metro, with a supermarket and restaurants in close. Would recommend to anyone looking for cheap & cheerful

Hotel Edy is a great hotel for a short break in Milan. My boyfriend and I spent a night here in August and found it to be perfect for our needs. It is in a good location, only a few metro stops from the city centre. We arrived early in the morning and were told our room was ready so we were able to check in early. The room was very clean and bright and nice and spacious. For the price it had everything we needed and we found the staff to be lovely and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people wanting good value for money in Milan.

This hotel is pretty basic. Shower in the room is nice, shared bathroom in the hall was clean. The front desk recommended a good, cheap restaurant nearby. The walls are thin and you hear everything. Perfectly acceptable place to stay
