We stayed 4 nights, and it was the best location. Close to the old town, 15 min walk. Close to the train station, 10 min walk. Staff was kind and amazing, the hotel and room was very clean. Highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be coming back with our family.

We spent two nights there (Tues & Wed) and were really impressed. The room was spacious and had everything you’d expect. The breakfast was fabulous. We loved how they had eggs cooked fresh to order (we had mixed veggie omelette with bacon on the side- smoked, streaky and well cooked, just perfect!) The server can make you a fresh orange juice if you wish. And then there’s all the usual food & drink (including fresh full-sized French bakery products) but it’s so beautifully presented. The location is great too- only about 8mins walk to the centre and the beach. It’s such a lovely quiet hotel with the bonus of being able to use the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym at their nextdoor sister hotel. The staff were lovely too. All in all we highly recommend it and will definitely return!

We booked to stay here during MIPIM, very affordable and was hoping for a nice experience, but nothing too great… we were proven wrong! The hotel is fantastic, the decor is great and aesthetically pleasing, staff are lovely and friendly, location is great for short walk to the beach / promenade and also to Nice Ville train station, also the trams too for airport travel. Honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect location, with a great hotel and room. I actually miss the bathroom already, the tiles are amazing, lighting is ideal and water pressure is perfect in the shower. We sadly didnt get chance to taste the breakfast but heard great things. If we return to Nice, I’ll sure be staying here and having the breakfast too. You also get access to Hotel Splendid next door, which doesn’t appear to be as nice of a hotel as Gonoud is, but it does have the rooftop pool, jacuzzi and a great terrace for working on, relaxing and eating some food in their bar area. All around honestly a 10/10 place with all things considered. We nipped to 5* hotels on the last day for their terrace areas to work from, although they are glorious, it didn’t feel as homely and relaxing as Gonoud does. So on a grander scale, i would say it’s a 4* hotel, 9.2/10 overall even in comparison to ‘the big glorious hotels’, but I’d stay in Gonoud any time as preference!

The room was clean, nice bedding, the bathroom was good as well. The stuff was very helpful, courteous, polite. The breakfast was pretty good as well, fresh every day. Overall it was a very nice stay. Thank you!

Room was very nice, junior suite with balcony. Hotel is in quiet neighborhood, away from some of the hustle and bustle. But, close enough to walk to most things downtown and in old town Nice. Close to the train station too. Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Our room did not get serviced on our last day. Not sure why, but that would be our only complaint.

The hotel was very comfortable, cosy and modern. The room had everything we needed (bar and iron and an ironing board) and staff were very friendly and pleasant. The shower was fantastic and the huge bathroom also had a nice big bath. Bed was large and comfortable.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Greate hotel in quite area, location is so convenient, close to Nice ville train station, Promenade and Old Town, make it easily to explore everything. The room was clean,comfortable with large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff was Sooo frendly and attentive. I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for 12 nights and would definitely recommend it

PROS: The room was really great. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and even had a gift for us to celebrate our special occasion. They helped us with our luggage and gave us directions around town which was super helpful. CONS: The bathroom! The bathroom was very spacious but the lighting was so dim! If you are trying to put on makeup or shave its almost impossible. The bathroom was huge but the sinks were so small and there is nowhere to put toiletries, etc. With such a huge bathroom they have space for bigger counters. Also there is only one electric outlet so you have to dry your hair right beside the toilet. (if you have long hair and have to flip it upside down to dry it, you are staring directly at the toilet!). Also the shower is huge but has no door so the water gets all over the floor. The controls for the hand held shower head and the rain spa are on the same temperature gauge but one was much hotter than the other. Also the shower shelves are in the middle of the shower instead of above the taps so we knocked our arms and elbows on these sharp metal shelves numerous times. And finally, there were no recycling bins in the room. The breakfast was subpar to what we have experienced at other French hotels. The selection wasnt very good and when we asked the staff about vegan options they had no idea. Some items were already plated rather than presented on a buffet tray which was strange. The coffee maker was also broken.

the weirdest thing was, we had to buy the water in the room beacuse they had tap water by the reception if you like to drink water. So with your pjs at the middle of the night, they expacting you to go downstairs and get a glass of water!!!! Even the smallest, least luxuries hotels give water in the room for free. or put some tap water in a glass bottle and put it in the room! The receptionist was very nice, she assisted us with restaurant quite nicely.

The evening staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel and room designs were great. The breakfast staff were kind, welcoming, and courteous. The food was also delicious. The room was generally clean, and the bathroom was well-designed. The bed was awful and one of the worst I have experienced. The bed was two twin mattresses with no cushion or padding. They were two different firm levels, but both were hard. The bedding itself was thin and appeared worn and old. Sleeping in the room was the worst part of the room. The hotel is in a great area and has quite a bit of charm. I would not recommend the room, but the breakfast was great, and the location is recommended.

The staff were very polite and welcoming. The hotel was conveniently located for all local amenities.

No refills of coffee or tea or water unless we asked no little milk provided very small room for the price. I would say it was not what I expected.

Very nice hotel. Their sister hotel next door offered a great rooftop bar. Easy walk to train station and also to the sea and Old Town.
