Amazing area and facilities!

The staff was eager to please. 😊 The room was like an antique. With cool light switches.

Lansdowne station being only a short walk away was so very convenient!

The house is beautiful, clean, and well cared for. They have paid attention to every detail. It was super convenient that they send you your access code in advance so no check in is needed. Very pleasant and comfortable stay!

Easy to check in with good communication from the staff. Room was lovely, with towels replaced daily. Shower pressure fluctuated with the temperature going from cool to extremely hot but that was the only complaint. Would definitely recommend and return to this property.

The hotel has a homely feeling lounge with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker which is very convenient for breakfast/snacks. The location was very good, only a few minutes walking to DART station (three stops to city centre) and bus stops. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check-in by codes is very easy. They also have a staff member on site most of the time. Luke was great - he was really responsive and helpful. All in all the hotel is very good value for money.

Loved the chocolate and biscuit on the pillow, very clean other than the carpeting showing its age. Quiet neighborhood close to stadium and beach.

Location was great (close to train). The male attendant was great, super helpful! The room was out of date, the carpet was gross, the bathroom curtain was dirty, and I did see a bug in my bed lol.

Clean room and bathroom. A bit of traffic noise at night. Lack of a lift was a challenge. Convenient for a trip to the ferry terminal.

Butlers townhouse is in a nice quiet area. It is near lansdowne station, a short train to get to the center of action. There happened to be an employee there when I was checking in who was very helpful. The home is beautiful. It was a neat experience rather than staying in a hotel. The water pressure was fanastic, bed was comfy, ample space in the room. Will be staying again if im ever back!

Clean accommodation overall. A nice welcome and easy to access. The bed was very difficult getting in and out of as it was very tall. The shower water was temperamental, running hot and cold. There seemed to be a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning, which meant we were awake from around 6am. This was both from areas outside our room, as well as noises that sounded like electrics and pipes in the building.

Wasn't a fan of the communal fridge. Has some items stolen even though they were labeled.

The location is perfect for the Aviva, difficult to do beat. The townhouse is old and some parts of the room were dated. There was a 10cm gap between the curtain and the wall, so we couldn't block out the light there. We were in room 8 and the shower water pressure was non-existant. Had to run around just to get wet. The review is primarily for location, comfy bed, and friendly staff.

This was a fantastic place to stay for our 11 day Dublin trip. Butler's townhouse is in a friendly, slightly posh neighborhood. The building is old (200+ years) so it has some quirks with the plumbing, and there are lots of stairs. But it's super close to transit and only a 5 minute walk from several eateries and fun little pubs. You can be downtown on the Dart in 25 minutes and the Dart is very inexpensive. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again if (when) we return to Dublin.

I liked the small terrace and the nearby small supermarket. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was nice to have coffee in the mornings and talk with the other guests. The bus to get to O’Connell street is close by right of the hotel and a few blocks down. From there you can get through most of Dublin if you know the routes. I liked our room the bed was a double and I didn’t know that meant two beds pulled together but the curtains and drapes were beautiful. They cleaned our room every day and we had a great time at this hotel. Though the fridge is shared with other guests and is in the main lobby

Staff were not helpful or friendly. We were travelling with friends and had booked 3 rooms. We tried to change our booking 6 months in advance and they would not do anything to help us. Very frustrating. In the end we did not use the property.
