Decent location. Easy access. Good value. Three star rating is appropriate.

Overall, a pretty nice hotel room for the price in a very cool neighborhood of Marseille. Typically small of a French hotel.

Easy walk to vieux port. Lots of info in foyer. Friendly staff. Smiled nicely at our poor French! Minor points - small rooms, rather shabby bathroom shower and 1 of our rooms' A/C did not work.

Convenient positioning near the old port - good walking access to metro for airport and TGV connections. Bijou hotel - simple, small but characterful.

Would rate hotel as 2 star. Air conditioning dripped on son's bed. We got a bucket from staff but no offer to change rooms or discount rate or even a free breakfast.

It didn't look great from the outside but we had a warm welcome from the staff who were very helpful throughout our stay. It was much quieter than we thought it would be, being in the heart of the city only 10 minutes away from the thriving shopping centre and dock area. Far too many things to do in our short stay.

Really liked Marseille. Great for 3-night stay. Hotel good value without pretentiousness and clean with good shower. Le Boucher is terrific wee restaurant across the road and good, typical neighbourhood bar up the road a bit. Metro to Castellane from St. Charles.

The hotel was in an excellent quiet location within the antiques quarter and only 10 minutes walk from the old port. The staff were friendly and the room was spotless. The bedroom was quite small but fine for our needs and the bathroom was spacious and very modern. Most importantly in August the air con was ice cold !!!. Great value and a good find. Will certainly return and would recommend to friends without hesitation. 5/5

Hotel Edmond Rostand was a fine place to stay. Triple room very small, but a/c worked well, breakfast was delicious and elegant, staff was knowledgeable if a bit "brusk" and seulement en francaise, and neighborhood indeed quiet. Well located to walk to Basilique and to catch Metro.

The room was small but adequate to my needs. No frills but updated for the most part. Very quite location in the antique quarter of town but close to everything you need. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was, again, basic but completely adequate to my needs. Would stay here again if in Marseille.
