Nice and clean modern hotel with lovely staff located far from the old town, but near a prison and a shelter. There’s a direct bus to the center which doesn’t come very often.

Clean and comfortable hotel in the outskirts of town. Fortunately the 25 bus is nearby and dependable. Courteous staff and ample breakfast contribute to a positive experience.

Good hotel, very good price. Has all the basics and a queen size bed.

Away from center, but public transport convenient. Not enough fruit and vegetables at breakfast, but large variety of baked goods. Building is old, and staff are friendly.

I chose Hotel Imperial because of the close proximity to the fair. It's just 4 km away roughly and an easy drive or taxi ride. The people are very friendly and the entire hotel was very clean and safe. The only negative was the bed being a bit too stiff for me. All in all it was a good value considering Fiera.

Perfect location, perfect services

This was a one-night stay for three people in a tiny room. We dropped off one person at the airport early the next morning. There was a gym, and the breakfast was plentiful and fresh. There were walking and bike paths outside of the hotel although the area is not scenic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Candy platter at the front desk which is a nice touch. Lobby had a TV and there are a number of areas to linger and wait. Outside chairs and tables of the hotel were sparse. This area could be improved. We liked the bathroom products provided.

Would really recommend the Hotel Imperial. Breakfast was superb.

Overall, Hotel Imperial is a very nice hotel, both the rooms and breakfast were good. Although, it was a comfortable stay, the receptionist Ioli was very rude. We were given a room that smelled of smoke. However, we requested a smoke-free room when we reserved a room. She refused to change the room. She ended up giving a new room after giving us a hard time. She was also caught talking about bad about us with her other co-workers in Italian. Since, we are spanish we understood because of the similarity in language.

Kind staff, clean hotel. You have to take a bus from Central Station to the hotel. A little weakness to me was the location. Most of the buses in Bologna pass by Central Station. However, this hotel being distanced from the Central Station, you have to transfer to another bus if you want to visit another side of the town rather than having a one time shot.

The Hotel Imperial does what it says on the tin!Bit further out approx 15 Soros by taxi to city centre but buses run regularly from outside hotel 1.5 euros.Just make sure you have correct change for bus driver does not issue tickets or go to Tabacceri to get ticket.If we had known this would have saved us a fine! Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast ok but no evening meal available and d I didn't see bar open in evening or many other guests! Would stay here again.

The hotel staff was very nice and polite. The room was big and clean. The only minus is the breakfast, not any vegetable and omlette.it could be better.

Two nights stay in quiet surroundings. Comfortable beds. Unfortunately, no English TV. Good internet and very helpful staff. Very complete breakfast with fruit, eggs, meat, breads, baked goods, yoghurts, coffee tea and hot chocolate. Very modern decor.
