Staff and hotel were top class really enjoyed our stay

Staff was excellent and nothing was too much trouble, the only thing I would say is if you are looking for a quite hotel then go no further but like us if you want bars and restaurants that are open after 11pm then unfortunately nothing is really around this location without walking at least 20 minutes but really great hotel

From the moment we walked in to the grand entrance the tram at The Grand Tacande were there to help and ensure everyone had the best experience. Loved our 4 night stay. Wonderful breakfast buffet with so much choice - options to have a table outside or inside, also dined in one evening - very good value. Pool lovely, plenty of beds and nice bar areas. Enjoyed the Sound bath session. Perfect spot just a short walk to the beach

A very good hotel with excellent service. Though their main pool was closed, as they had informed us before our visit, there were still other pools and areas to relax and enjoy with family.

Great holiday. A main part of the pool was closed, but we had access to more than enough pool/water area for us as a couple, including access to the infinity pool (offered by the hotel in lieu of the pool area having construction work).

For over £700 per night. This place is over priced in my view. It's a little run down and they charge you for using extra coffee pods even if you're there for 1 week!

Gran Tacande exceeded our expectation in every way. Great location. Amazing food, not like usual buffets, really good quality. Excellent spa. Outstandimg service. Variety of pools. Very green. Surroundings and walks are great too. Top choice for Tenerife. Wifi not great in certain areas of the hotel.

the beach is at the back of the Hotel, small shopping center 3 minutes away

Really enjoyed my stay the room was absolutely perfect so much room it was great. The staff were really friendly and polite, also the spa was absolutely amazing the best if been to nice wee gym aswell the pools outside were amazing especially the jacuzzi one I couldn’t get out of it I loved it and a good decent buffet breakfast with friendly staff can’t complain only thing I wanted a late check out but couldn’t get it as my flight was until late but they gave me a room so I could clean up. Definitely be returning soon.

Very good hotel overall. Few issues with room at the beginning resolved. Excellent for children entertainment.

Our family enjoyed a week long stay in a Gold Swim up Room and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff were brilliant - especially with our children - the food was delicious, the room was perfect and the location of the hotel was wonderful - feeling secluded while it was a stones throw from the beach with good access to the local town. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a getaway in Tenerife!

Excellent service, great facilities

Unlike the hotels in the area, the Gran Tacande seems to have more open space around the pool area, not shaded by palm trees like the other properties. Easy access to the shopping and dining. Different sections of the hotel are built in slightly different "colonial" style. Giving it less the "large corporate hotel" feel. More like staying at a private VIP town square.

A wonderful hotel, with excellent facilities, great food for half board and really lovely staff!

Great location with lots of options for food and close to the beach. Pool area was great with close by refreshments. The room was very nice but if you are shy the bathroom situation could be awkward… overall very happy with our stay.

I didn’t like the temperature in the room, too warm and not enough air circulation.

The rooms, location (near beach) and pool area are very good and worthy of 9/10. The rest of the hotel, some reception staff, and overall experience as a result is more 7. Poor at check in and out, old policies around dinner dress codes and staff just not lined up or aware of things... having stayed at another 5 star before, this get like a let down. Food is good if not a bit repetitive... .

Friendly staff and attentive cleaners help elevate a rather tired-feeling 5 star with some communal areas in need of repair and TLC and many sunbeds with wheels hanging off. The open-plan room (presumably done to help the sense of space) leaves little privacy while in the bath or at the wash basin or on the toilet.
