This was our second stay at Hotel de Moura. It is a throwback to a more elegant era. The floors, ceilings and walls exhibit craftmanship that would be difficult to reproduce today. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It has convenient parking and is an easy 6 minute walk from the historic center and castle. The only downside is the lack of an elevator. The receptionist offered to carry our bags to our room. We are seniors and carried our bags up as we were travelling light. We will definitely stay there again.

This wonderful older building became a hotel in 1900, which might have been the occasion of the last renovation. Today, faded glory is probably the best description. I stayed in Room 1, a room that should not be used for guest accommodation. It looks onto a square but, perhaps for preservation reasons, there is no attempt a sound mitigation at all. Similarly, all the noise from the lobby, bar area arrives unfiltered into Room 1, which on a Friday night continued into the wee, small hours.

Lovely large clean room. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Very friendly and welcoming staff who recommended a great place to eat just across the plaza. Large private parking area at the back of the hotel and not visible from the street. The hotel was clean, as was the room. The continental breakfast was also excellent. The only downside was the matchbox sized room. It was so hard to find space for our luggage and the only hall space was taken up with a chair that had been put in the room. Not a lot of the room for the very high price. Pool not inviting.

The building's history'was amazing, the staff were very helpful. Facilities needs a litlle touch up. The breakfast was very poor. The pool was very far from hotel, long walk, and when we did get there it was very small. But overall a very good stay. Will definitely go there again soon.

Wow. Where do I begin. What a wonderful and unique property! Absolutely breathtaking. Staff was super helpful and gave us great dining recommendations. Room was comfortable and clean. The pool area was perfect way to cool off after a day of exploring. Will definitely be back again

Amazing place, Hugh bedrooms, stunning decor and old world charm. The building itself is worth a visit. Balconies and courtyard for sitting outside plus wonderful lounge area inside. If you looking in this area stay here. Private car park at the rear. No restaurant but it’s in the middle of town and walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Nice town but like many it he area could do with an economy boost. Perhaps some of the outside needs painting again. One of the few places I’d go out of anyway to stay at.

Very nice hotel for price and star rating.

Chambre au mobilier des années 70 et 80, disparate, trop volumineux pour l'espace. Plancher qui craque, éclairage déficient, salle de bain exigüe. Les photos laissent croire à un bâtiment plus luxueux qu'il ne l'est. Pas de réfrigérateur et le réceptionniste, allure débraillée, n'a jamais pu trouver de la glace lorsque demandé. Déjeuner médiocre, aucun aliment chaud, café imbuvable et service inhospitalier.

A majestic looking hotel, with friendly staff. This hotel offers regal relaxation for people who can appreciate and enjoy its charms.

Ugly chunky old furniture, small tv, mysteriously open windows while we were out but nothing missing.

Amazing building. We enjoyed the pool as very hot temps. -around 40c. Staff had kindly left the air conditioning on in our room to help with high temperatures.Some issues with hand basin and toilet in our room, however this did not impact our stay.Breakfast relatively good.WiFi fine.While we found Moura itself interesting, the lack of restaurants , especially those serving vegetarian food and extreme temperatures detracted from our stay.

We stayed for a few days over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Moura. All staff that we met during our stay were helpful and professional. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was buffet continental style and was enough to start you up for the day. We will be back in Moura next year and will definitely look to stay here again.

Was very happy with my stay and the hotel staff very helpful…in the future it will be a place to go again and relax.
