I made a booking at this hotel 11 months before my visit at what looked to be a good price for a trade fair time, and paid online with my card. However when I arrived at the hotel they refused to honour the booking, saying that he price quoted on the website was wrong and they would refund the booking but not let me stay there unless I paid a price almost 400% higher. I asked why they had published the wrong price ("computer error") and why they hadn't contacted me in almost a whole year before my stay to advise here was a problem but instead let me travel there to tell me (no answer to this, just repeating "computer error" and saying impossible to have this price for trade fair period and trying to tell me that I should have known it was an error!) Disgusting, dishonourable and a very sad way to run a business. I have to say that the hotel looked really low class anyway from the reception area which was as far as I was able to get. In summary, avoid this place and don't trust it unless you want to risk turning up for a 7 day stay like I did with all your luggage and then have to go looking elsewhere after a 40 minute argument at reception. Horrible experience.

I regret I cannot give 0 stars... A place to make people very angry. Stay away especially when in the city is difficult to find a place. You book, then they say your card did not work, so if you still want to stay the price goes crazy. At the limit of legality. Bad behavior, I hope they get back what they give as a service (nothing).

The front staff member was extremely rude, verbally abusive, dismissive and agreesive. I had housekeeping pressure me to check out over an hour early all because I asked about the awful smells in the hotel room. The location is very unsafe with many people hanging about on the doorstep, smoking and taking other substances. Also, the WiFi is terrible. It is weak and disconnects every 5-8 minutes so you have to reconnect constantly.

Steer away. Terrible experience awaits. A few months ago, I was arriving to Frankfurt late at night and I needed a place to sleep. I saw that Angel Hotel has free rooms with good prices. I called before booking to make sure that they have available rooms and once they confirmed that, I booked immediately. I arrived around 12am at the reception and asked to check in. The guy then asked me how much I paid for the room and didn't seem too happy with the answer (50 euros). Then he immediately told me that the don't have a room for me and I should go find a room elsewhere (at midnight!). When I said that I have already paid, he said that I will receive a refund later. I'm writing these words three months later and I have not received the refund and I doubt I ever will. Only book here if you want to be scammed.
