Our stay at The Black Bass in September was superb. The staff were so friendly and polite, and couldn't do more to make us comfortable. Our room was lovely, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The outside area on the lakeside was stunning. We sat here everyday, enjoying food and wine, and taking in the breathtaking views. We used the spa too, which again was very good, clean and quiet. We cannot wait to return.

An absolutely stunning hotel in an incredible location. The rooms and interiors are beautiful, and the setting on the lake is breathtaking — just a picturesque 40-minute walk along the water into town. The spa was wonderful, and although the weather at the end of September meant we couldn’t fully enjoy the outdoor pool, the facilities were excellent. What truly stood out was the service: the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely fantastic throughout our stay. A true 5-star experience from start to finish — we will definitely be returning!

Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. The staff were amazing when we had car problems and had to make last minute changes. The lakeside suite we had was perfect in every regard

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. The location and facilities provide the perfect accomodation to enjoy the lake. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful as well.

We stayed as a couple, in one of the lake view rooms. The room was a bit small for a double room, but the view more than made up for that. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, but not too involved in our stay (in a good way). The hotel is 45 minutes walk from Annecy, along a very safe path. The hotel hire e-bikes, and this was a highlight for us as we rode around the lake - 4 hours to do approx 40KM. We aren't bike people but this was so good! Views to die for

The location was perfect -away from the congestion and noise of town with an amazing view. It is also right off bike path and the bike rental on property was key. The staff was so amazing!

De l’extérieur, l’hôtel déçoit par son apparence, qui ne reflète pas les attentes d’un établissement 5 étoiles. Heureusement, le personnel est globalement agréable et serviable. Le véritable point fort réside dans la beauté et le confort des chambres, qui sont impeccables. En revanche, le spa est une déception : petit, avec un accès limité à une heure par jour, ce qui semble insuffisant compte tenu du prix du séjour. La piscine, quant à elle, est trop chlorée, ce qui peut être inconfortable pour les personnes sensibles. Le petit-déjeuner offre une belle vue depuis la salle, mais pour 35 € par personne, la prestation reste en deçà des attentes pour un hôtel de ce standing. Pendant notre séjour, le restaurant était fermé, nous laissant comme seule option des snacks au prix excessif (frites surgelées, service lent, etc.). Les massages, bien que de qualité, sont également un peu chers. En résumé, un séjour globalement plaisant, mais cet hôtel ne se hisse pas au niveau d’un 5 étoiles. Un 4 étoiles serait plus approprié.

Had an amazing time at the Black Bass hôtel. What an absolute stunning location. Staff were super lovely and helpful and it was so easy to borrow bikes from there. Will be back.

Such a cute boutique hotel! A little bit outside of the main town it was nice and quiet and on the water. The service was great with little things such as offering food upon our arrival since we were getting in late, and nightly turn down service.

This is a true 5 star boutique hotel. We love our room and the view was amazing. The location is incredible. The staff were very cordial and friendly. We will come back in the spring.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The view from our lake side room was magnificent. We rented bikes from the Black Bass and had a great ride around the lake. The spa is not to be missed! All around a great relaxing stay and we look forward to returning!

Beautiful place, biking distance to Annecy!

We found the Black Bass resort on Expedia and came from Geneva for a few days as a family. It was outstanding from all perspectives and we would love to come back. The restaurant served delicious fish from the lake, an excellent (if expensive) breakfast and the staff was helpful, friendly and spoke English. We loved the spa and the indoor pool as well as the beautiful views from the outdoor pool. The landscaping is exquisite and our teenaged son enjoyed the setting as much as the adults! We took the free tourist bus (15A) into the village of Sevrier and enjoyed a local breakfast and lots of shopping for regional delicacies. The staff was helpful in guiding us to a boulangerie there. Overall, while this property was not cheap, we felt every penny was well spent. Highly recommend (especially for families).

Lovely boutique hotel with direct access to the lake. Very clean and comfotable with polite staff. An oasis of calm next to the legions of tourists in Annecy. A quick but pleasant stop. Would recommend

Property was easy to find and plenty of free parking. Fixtures and environment of good quality and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Safe in room was broken on arrival but fixed the next day. Pool was very clean and great setting but a distinct shortage of sun beds and plenty of space to add a few more. Breakfast and dinner looked very good but expensive so caught the free local bus into Annecy with lots of options

Overall a good experience. I did however feel that despite this being a family friendly hotel, the options for kids dining was very limited. I also felt that the food choices were limited and quite over priced.
