The room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were very well maintained and there was a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The stay was let down by the breakfast. The bacon was excellent, my sausage was pink in the middle so I only ate half, the mushrooms were tinned or something similar, the tomato wasn’t cooked and the potato things were frozen. The eggs were probably good but I don’t eat eggs. The cost of this very poor breakfast for the two of us was £40+. The service wasn’t good. The toast was brought at the same time as the cooked breakfast so was cold to eat. We had to ask for preserves as these weren’t offered. Sauce to accompany the cooked breakfast wasn’t offered either. We definitely won’t return because of this which is a shame. I also was taken aback when I was called ‘babe’ by the receptionist. Not very business like!

Easy and convenient stay for party at the banking hall next door. Good parking, large room. Could do with some modernisation but overall was fine for one night. Nice staff.

Parking was easy and access to the town very good. The staff were helpful and polite.

Decent sheets and good sized room but unfortunately not a 5 star hotel by any stretch. Booked 2 hours ahead online and informed reception of my arrival time. Arrived to a freezing room with no heating on. Assured that it would quickly warm up but it sidnt leacing me with a 3 star nights sleep at best.

The hotel rooms are tired and the shower was so weak that you had to run around to get wet. On the plus side, the food was good and the staff were excellent.

Very clean hotel

All very good! Room/bathroom lovely and very clean. The ambiance around the hotel felt good. I ordered room service, my food was very good. Bar prices are also reasonable, I must say, cheaper than around Oxfordshire! so that was very well received by myself and good quality alcohol it was indeed.

A wonderful hotel full of character. Only stayed the 1 night but would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Our bedroom was tastefully decorated and clean. It was a spacious room, with a good ensuite bathroom. The bed was comfortable, with nice bedding. The breakfast menu was exrensive, with some great options. Our food was well cookwd and tasty. All of the hotel.staff were friendly, professional and helpful

Friendly and efficient staff. The hotel has attractive cosy interiors and a super outside bar area. The twin room is large and very well appointed, with a large & bright bathroom. We had probably the best steak and ale pie we have ever eaten, and the starters and desserts and other main courses also looked very tasty.
