Beautiful Otigia! Most helpful staff!

Breakfast was fresh and the service was wonderfully. My balcony over looked the sea. They helped me with my bags and were very friendly. They spoke English which helped a lot.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed her for a short (a few days) trip in Ortigia, and the experience was great. The location is amazing, right on the beachfront near everything, and the staff go above and beyond. We weren't the easiest guests im sure, we had many small, but persistent requests and the staff were consistently friendly, and more than happy to meet our requests with grace and enthusiasm. Our stay in Ortigia was enhanced by the staff at the Dorus Mariae Albergo. I can't comment on breakfast, as we opted to have brunch at a nearby Bistro, but this is in no way a comment on the breakfasts at the hotel; this is simply how we like to holiday. Overall, a wonderful experience here, with wonderful staff in an absolutely beautiful location.

Lovely staff and unbeatable location!

The Domus Mariae Albergo was an exceptional find! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding parking (an issue in Ortigia), recommending sites to see as well as authentic restaurants patronized by the locals. The room was clean, the linens crisp and bathroom well appointed. We will stay here again when next in Siracusa!

I had a lovely stay at Domus Mariae, the hotel is charming and conveniently located. Be sure to book a room facing the sea, the view was spectacular. Cinzia was an extremely welcoming and accommodating host. Overall I highly recommend a stay here.

Great location, but very average accommodation. The bed was comfortable, but there were no real amenities like coffee or water available in the rooms.

Nice location and good sized room. The staff were kind and helpful. I didnt take the breakfast so can not comment on that but there are lots of lovely places to take good breakfast close by. My room could have been cleaner and I informed the staff so hopefully they will ensure it is better in the future.

The shower was terrible. Too small like a phone booth. Drain was slow. Floor in bedroom was not clean. Sand and hair on the floor. Cat or cats live in the office area . Not good for someone with allergies.

Just left a wonderful stay in Ortigia. The hotel was amazing! Friendly, sweet staff.. very helpful. The room was quiet, clean with a little balcony. The entire island is walkable in every direction. 15 mins max from one side to the other. 3 mins from fresh food market for fresh spices, seafood, veggies and fruit, and much much more. Restaurant choices are endless… and all authentic and marvelous. You will love your stay!

On hotels.com website, they said they has elevator. But they don't. The front desk is on 2nd FL and our room was on 4th FL. The staircases are narrow and slippery. The ceiling above the staircases are low and must bend head to pass. Otegia is a small island. This hotel is far from all the atractions and restaurants. Its name include doumo. I thought it must be very close to catherdral. But it is quite a walk. The amenities in the room is very basic, nearly to none.

Great hotel, perfect location. Swimming spot right outside in ocean with safety rocks to keep large sea life out. Lovely views. Friendly staff, comfortable beds and nice price. Don't miss this gem.
