The hotel is located on a busy road and appears to be quite popular among foreign tourists, with a high volume of international guests. However, my overall experience did not fully meet expectations. The food quality was average. The breakfast, in particular, was below average, with limited options and a repetitive menu throughout the stay. While the lunch and dinner were slightly better, I was surprised that soup was not included as part of the meal service, as it is a fairly standard appetizer offered by most hotels. Overall, the dining experience left considerable room for improvement.

The Rockland Hotel is conveniently located and well priced. It firmly falls within the 3-star range. Not fantastic, but not bad either. Cleanliness is at an acceptable level. Our biggest complaint is probably that every day, after the room had been cleaned we had to call down because the toilet paper, or the hand soap or the shampoo was not refilled. The rest was ok. Staff was very accommodating in reception during check in and check out. The pool was closed and empty, but the roof was still lovely to sit and read on. I did love the book exchange and the amazing view from the rooftop.

Hotel was nice but they don't have good breakfast menu. For a vegetarian it's very difficult to eat just bread and jam. No toiletries were provided by the staff and we have to call everytime we need anything. Overall not a very good experience. Since the place was book by company we didn't have any option.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The rooms are smaller than usual, although the general standard is acceptable. However, the bed in my original room was terrible. It was extremely hard, and I could literally feel the metal springs through the mattress. For a room costing 4,500 INR per night, this is completely unacceptable. When I went to the reception to complain, they first told me the hotel was fully booked. I explained that charging that amount for a room with a broken bed was not reasonable. After some discussion, they eventually assigned me a new room with a proper bed. The hotel also advertises air conditioning in the rooms. This was not the case. The rooms was very hot. When I asked about the AC, I was first told it was turned off because it was winter season. Later, when I asked them to turn it on, I was told it was broken. I had really hoped for a good night’s sleep, especially since I had a flight back to Europe the next morning. Unfortunately, this was difficult due to the heat, and noice from the traffic outside. Additionally, the beds are shorter than normal. Being slightly taller than average, my feet were hanging off the end of the bed. The restaurant experience was even worse. It is located in the basement and felt dirty and poorly ventilated, with a stale and unpleasant smell. There were no other guests dining at the time, which made us somewhat skeptical, but we decided to give it a try. We ordered tandoori chicken tikka (dry, without gravy) and dal. When the food arrived, the chicken did not look as it normally does. There was visible oil and sauce around the pieces, despite requesting it dry. After tasting it, I was shocked — the chicken was cold, although fully cooked. This suggested that it had been prepared earlier and reheated. From a food safety perspective, I did not feel comfortable eating it. At first, the staff tried to convince us to order something else from the menu, but after this experience I did not feel confident about how the rest of the food was prepared. Eventually, the manager came and asked what the issue was. I explained the situation, and he apologized and told us we would not have to pay for the food. However, we were still charged for the drinks, even though we had ordered them to accompany the meal and did not finish them. In the end, we left and went somewhere else for dinner. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
