Good place to stay for visiting the pound. Communication about tours available in advance via communication wound be good. Signs to direct to reception for check-in would be better

The safari tent was excellent - really comfortable with great air conditioning, an enclosed bathroom, fridge and plenty of storage space. It was quite distant from reception and the restaurant, but also from the campground and units and had a view of the bush, making it extra peaceful and relaxing. Restaurant was ok, pricey for what it was and minimal, forgetful service, but given the remote location, very handy. Great location for exploring the national park and the tours available were great, including the sunset tour, 1 hour flight and Gorges tour.

Breakfast was like leftovers, the hospitality person had her sleeves dangling in the hot food. The jams and toppings area looked like a toddler had craft time. It was obvious that there was no hospitality training with the staff. The rooms were just bareable. Mattress springs and sewerage whiff coming through the bathroom floor. I’m glad we only stayed one night.

Awesome place and starting point to explore the Flinders Ranges - the Safari Tent is awesome, but overpriced. The food at the restaurant is average at best and very expensive.

Wonderful location in the Flinders Ranges. Restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients with indigenous influences. An expensive holiday location.

The Wilpena Pound Resort provided us with a great base to explore the Flinders Ranges. Our room was very comfortable and the food at the restaurant was exceptional.

This resort is inside a National Park (SA). If you intend to use any of the walking trails you need to pay for the parks visit although I dont think its mandatory if only staying in the resort overnight. The cheaper rooms dont even come with a microwave so you need to use the restaurant. $46.00 aud for a 250gr Scotch fillet. There is an IGA at the entrance to the resort and fuel available. Ice etc and Coffee. So the more expensive rooms come with more cooking facilities so you could utilize the IGA or bring your own food. The water isnt drinking quality but the resort supply bottled water free . Bed was comfortable and the aircon worked well.

I can only rave in extreme about how amazing this property...its a 5 hour drive from.adelaide but lots of places to stop at...and be sure to be at the camp by 6pm otherwise you will be playing dodge the roos. There is everything here to be completely at one with the bush in a tent..powered site or the sadari tents we stayed in. There was internet at reception and the visitor centre. Staff were incredibly helpful warm and knowledgeable. Laundry facilities on site and a cultural welcome daily at 4.30pm. Breakfast huge and restaurant/ bar in the evening Amazing to see the kangaroos parrots and goats wandering. The safari tent was perfect for a luxurious getaway without being an eyesaw...well designed with bug proof netting...air conditioning..huge bed and comfy pillows and amazing shower. Great quality NOOD shower products. Bliss to sit on the deck and be in awe of the bush chatter and sun set on wilpound. Loved lying in bed to catch the sunrise with a cuppa. Cant say enough positives about this resort.

We are a family of 4(dad, mum and 2 boys). This time we brought dad's side of mum as the web site says 'Sleeps 5'. The website says, '1 Queen Bed, 1 Single Bunk Bed and 1 Single Bed'. We thought that we would have 3 separate beds. They had 2 beds. 1 queen and 1 bunk bed(single on the top and queen on the bottom). It was hard to organize bedding allocation. Meals are big and well presented. It takes long time at dinner time though. There were not much food option at the shop onsite. We would like to come back one day but not in summer as some trails were closed. The landscape was spectacular! We would like to see when the creeks have water. It would be amazing.

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were all lovely, the food in the restaurant was value for money and the Safari Tent was perfect for our couple of days away.
