This is supposedly a superior hotel, however our room had NO window, NO natural light!! I felt terribly claustrophobic not knowing waht time of the day or night it was if I didn't have a watch. The toilet door is glass, which gives poor intimacy, and absolutely no noise dampening (who wants to hear his partner "business"??). Finally the noise from the restaurant downstairs was about as loud as outside, making for a really poor night. Truly, the semi-historical contex is impressive, very nice walls, arcs and staircase in the public area.

We had an excellent four night stay at Cantera Diez Hotel Boutique and would absolutely return. From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely professional and welcoming. They even allowed us to check in early after a red eye flight, which made a huge difference since we had not slept. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and housekeeping and room service were consistently excellent throughout our stay. A special thank you to Tina at the bar. She was truly friendly, professional, and a pleasure to talk with. Pedro, our server at the restaurant, was also very kind and attentive. Both Tina and Pedro went out of their way to help us navigate the city during special events, which we really appreciated. Armando, the security guard, was also wonderful and made us feel safe and taken care of. Overall, this hotel delivered a clean, relaxing, and well run experience with service that genuinely stands out. We hope to come back and stay again soon. Highly Recommend!! We’ve stayed here 3 times. The staff (Hugo, Miguel, etc.) are very attentive and kind. The rooms and overall property were very clean. The colonial room is more quiet than the terrace but they’re both great rooms. The view ro the cathedral is great. We woukd stay here again.

I recently stayed at Cantera Diez in Morelia, and from the moment I arrived, I was struck by how beautiful and impeccably clean everything was. The aesthetics alone are impressive, but what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional customer service. Every member of the staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed and genuinely cared for. It’s clear that hospitality isn’t just a job here; it’s a priority and a point of pride. A great example of this happened on my last night. I had received a voucher for a complimentary drink, so I headed to the bar a little before 10:30 p.m. As it turned out, the bar was just about to close. The bartender kindly let me know this but still offered to make my drink, though he mentioned it would have to be served in a plastic cup since they were closing down. I appreciated the gesture, but what happened next really stood out. The manager, noticing our group, came over and asked if others were also planning to order. When we said yes, but assured him we understood it was closing time, he didn’t hesitate. He told the bartender to go ahead and take everyone’s orders and insisted the drinks be served in proper glassware. That small moment captured everything that makes Cantera Diez special: the attention to detail, the genuine warmth, and the willingness to go the extra mile to create a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. It’s those thoughtful touches and the outstanding service that will bring me back.
