Hotel near JR station, JR pass is very useful. Tachikawa, 40 minutes by JR from Shinjuku, was initially shocked by being far away. But Tachikawa himself is pleasant, he doesn't need to queue like downtown. The hotel fronts Don Quijote and Daiso. Old hotel but the cleanliness is amazingly good. Overall likes.
