Good accomodation.

Lovely location and very helpful staff

Easy access and nice clean facilities. Check in staff was friendly and helpful.

Lovely peaceful dog friendly hotel ( doggies even got a welcome pack) with amazing views, walks and helpful staff. There are no local amenities though and you need to drive for alternative dining etc. Very restful at a stressful time

Fantastic value for money - last stayed here 18 years ago and it is still as good as it was. Price was also surprisingly low and much much better price and quality than the Holiday Inn a few miles away

Rooms were too hot, no air con, fans provided but still too hot and uncomfortable in the hot weather barley slept all night

The hotel is in nice grounds and the restaurant/bar area is nice. The rooms could do with updating but we couldn't complain with the price we paid

Good stay but poor service checking in and difficult checking out with no receipt available and not emailed as promised Preauthorisation taken from debit card and money left my account - nor returned despite paying with American Express before leaving Also felt the hotel advertised with a gym and swimming pool stating residents need to pay extra once booked isn’t appropriate

Tired rooms need refresh Lound electrical humming, had to turn off all electric over night to sleep better

only a one night stay but really friendly staff, excellent size standard bedroom, comfy as well. Evening meals were excellent and well presented. Buffet breakfast was usual hotel fayre but there was plenty of choice and we particularly liked the Danish pastries, let down slightly by cold plates and only one hot drink machine

Reception very helpful and immediately changed me to a ground floor room when asked. (I’m on crutches). Room Clean but seemed a little tired, ready for a refurb. Surprised there are no usb charging sockets. Very peaceful location and plenty of parking.

Older property that had the necessities and was local to our needs.

3 star type property. Location was the selling point for us. We had two different rooms. If I based this review on the first one it would be less than favorable as the room was unbearably hot. The second room we had was much nicer and temperate.

We paid extra and had the breakfast in the morning, we ate in the conservatory area and the views were stunning. The room was clean and the bathroom was a little small but the shower was really large and fully accessible. The staff were really friendly, great customer service 🙂

I have stayed here a few times now and I really like it. Usually staff are very polite and friendly but when I checked in last night the woman behind the desk literally ignored me for 3 minutes! She was working on something which I understand but a quick - I will be with you inn a minute would have done but nothing, not even eye contact. When she did manage to speak, no apology and said can you speak to one of the others, is there a man around the corner!! Disgraceful. A young chap eventually checked me in and he was very good but as for the woman…I’m not sure a customer facing role is for you.

Bathroom is outdated and had mold on the bath sealant and limescale on the taps. The shower water flow was poor and the temperate as warm on Sunday morning, but hot when using the bath the night before.

Bedroom good comfy bed but the breakfast plates and cups could do with a thorough clean

Dirty, mouldy, tatty, falling apart, violently hot, staff don’t care. Genuinely the worst room I have ever stayed in. When I asked about the heat I was told there was a fan. I rarely complain but this was not good.

The hotel initially impressed - check in was good, the room was spacious, warm, well-furnished. But when my husband tried to have a hot bath to help with the discomfort after a recent knee replacement, the hot tap in the bath dispensed tepid water, quite inadequate for a bath,although the water in the washbasin was very hot. The following morning the lavatory refused to flush for what seemed like a long time, the bath water was ok for a shower, but there was no cold water from the bath tap. Clearly the plumbing needs attention.
