Hotel was very nice. Unusual to have to pay to use the swimming pool and sauna in a 5 star hotel. Limited eating options.

Large modern hotel 2 miles from city centre. Rooms large and well equipped, excellent dining on site, good gym, underground car park not expensive. Easy to find from A1.The barman does a great gin and tonic!

The Basque Country is one of my favorite places in the world. Vitoria is the more formal, conservative city of the big 3 that includes Bilbao and San Sebastian - a bit more progressive. But Vitoria has much to offer and is a good center base to be all over the area. The Grand Hotel Lakua is my place of preference - local flavor, professional, attentive service and a very comfortable hotel. The only negative is that it's location is not central and towards the highway. But this is not a big city and everything is relatively close by. I've stayed here before and my experience was equally good. The restaurant is good and the cafe on the end of the building is also very good and inviting. Breaksfasts are excellent. Highly recommended!

Good stop over place and well priced. Great facilities but the Breakfast too pricey. Also didn’t like the see through glass door for the toilet. Parking was ok but limited. Otherwise, a great hotel.

Arrived late at night after a long journey to find the cafe was still open which was fantastic. Served by friendly staff and the food was very tasty. Our room was spacious and quite plush with a comfy bed and fridge. On the outskirts of town which was very convenient for us. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again

The hotel is a new building in a residential area, It has bar and restaurant and small SPA. Is ok if you have a car but you can get public transportation close, Parking outside of the hotel is easy so you do not need to pay an Hotel fee parking.

Overnight stop travelling through to France. I picked it because it was close to the main roads, not so good if you wan't to be near the town centre. Good free parking on the street outside the hotel. Clean and modern. Room was a good size with a very large comfortable bed. Large bathroom and the twin sinks was a nice touch. Unfortunately the mini fridge did not work and was warm even though it was on. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I can never understand why a 'quality hotel' would not supply this. These couple of things stopped it being 5 out of 5 for this hotel.

The room could be considered 5 star, but all other facilities were average. Although the one staff at reception and one lady doing cafe, bar and restaurant bar were nice, the hotel is necessarily understaffed during low seasons and so service takes awhile. Not a real spa, must be booked in advance due to limited facilities

This is a 5 star Hotel in a new area of Vitoria, even the city is not big, it's not at the best location. Neighbourhood is ok, new area with not many attractions. The Hotel it's ok, room was very small, but it has all you need. I was feeling like a 4* whether a 5*, which don't pretend to be a regret in any way since I feeling I paid an excellent price for what I got. Parking was easy (free if you find an slot) in front the hotel. Wifi was free and surprisingly fast compared with many other hotels. If you're traveling for business it an excellent choice.
