The surroundings were beautiful, and the service was amazing! Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms did not meet my expectations. We requested daily housekeeping to help with the dirt brought in from our walking shoes and to ensure we had fresh towels. I would have appreciated more thorough vacuuming and better bathroom cleaning. The food was okay, but the outstanding service and beautiful surroundings were definite highlights of our stay.

I have been to this hotel mostly for work retreats with colleagues etc. the location is quite outside the town so getting there by private cars is recommended. At least the rooms that I have stayed in have been very nice with good views. Clean and well kept. The bed is super comfy and I could sleep very deeply. Also had complimentary water tea coffee. The breakfast have always been very broad and beautiful made. Lots of stuff to try from. The buffet is also quite filling and has lots of things to try. Especially the cheese and grilled veggies. Good place for work retreats or meetings etc

It's an amazing place. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Food is very good and all facilities are very nice. The only critism. The pool table needs a bit of tlc. The gym is very small and limited.

If you don't mind: in English (or Dutch...) It was my second time in Hotel Rennsteig. And I really really liked it. The place itself, the garage for my bike, the rooms both times, the food, the people who work there... I don't understand the people who have comment on the food: for me it was perfect, served by friendly people. So: next time again, I hope with more Dutch people (11 this time). And as far as I know: all Dutch people were very happy with the hotel and this lovely week. O yes: all the attention for driving fast and curves: I don't like that. Nice hotel and nice staff. But internet here is horrible. In 80% of the time you cannot use wifi. They need to make this little better. Rest is ok and food is great.
