We just spent 3 nights and overall it was a great experience. Let's start with the positives: 1) Location was good. Very close to local transportation so it was easy to get around. Train station is a fair bit away, so you may want to use an Uber. 2) Our room was very comfortable and dripped with style. Bathroom was phenomenal! 3) All the people we encountered at the front desk were very nice. 4) Special acknowledgment, to the gentleman who helped with our bags. He was so pleasant and helpful. He needs a raise! 5) Breakfast was great! The young lady with a ponytail was very pleasant and kind. The negatives: 1) Not a huge deal, and I think it's the Canadian in me, but I wish the juices were cold. 🙃 2) Not all the breakfast attendants are as cordial as the young lady who made our eggs on the first morning. In fact, the breakfasts over the next two days were hosted by, perhaps, attendents who were a bit on the grumpy side. I'm sorry to say it made us a tad uncomfortable. Overall we would not hesitate to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-day stay at this hotel. It is in an excellent location for which to explore the old centre of Lyon. Our room was clean and comfortable and the ability to have free cold sparkling water available was much appreciated. The breakfast is excellent, but we only had it one day as it was too much for us. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Fully restored & renovated in 2020 the Bayard delivers on attention to detail. Bed - fantastic. A/C, quiet, no directional blowing - just cool comfort. Rain shower - adjust the temp and it stays steady. Lighting - romantic setting, full lights, bedside lights, convenient height outlets next to the nightstand. Room was large, restoration to a vintage era is attentive to detail. Breakfast - fantastic! Eggs to order or awesomely done scrambled , six to eight homemade choices, breads, yogurts, cheeses. Three main metro stops very close. Main shopping streets close. Good restaurants nearby. All of the staff were also very helpful and professional. Will return next time in Lyon !

We had a lovely stay! The hotel is very French eclectic in all the best ways. I enjoyed a bath in the oversized claw foot tub in our room. It’s right on Place Bellecour, and quick access to a couple of different metro stops. The staff is so friendly and helpful, we only had breakfast once at the hotel and it was very good. Assorted meats & cheeses, quiches, pastries, bacon & eggs - all done buffet style. Note the restaurant is only for breakfast. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel that was beyond gorgeous ! If you are a lover of antiques it is a much stay. The hotel feels like a hideaway and the rooms are decorated with beautiful French antiques. It truly felt like staying in a French bridgerton house. We decided to also have breakfast which was delicious and the breakfast room was equally as gorgeous as the rooms. The staff was so friendly and helpful too and the location was close to the station and other sites. I 100% would come back again and recommend to our friends back home.
