I stayed here about 10 years ago and it was one of the best places I ever stayed. I came back in hopes of my family having the same experience. Upon arrival I noticed some changes but stayed positive. I immediately requested an upgrade-I didn’t care if I had to pay more I wanted the best experience. The response was the upgrade would be pool view but nothing else (the room size would remain the same). I didn’t bother, we got to our room and it felt like a large walk in closet with bad lighting. Two full sized beds for 2 adults and 2 grown girls felt claustrophobic. We changed to go to the pool, forgot our glasses and the key card stopped working-we were locked out (this happened about 5x within the first 2 days). When we showered the water splashed out of the bathroom making the floor wet and slippery-I’m sure people fall all the time! None of the USB ports worked, half of the outlets worked, the fan squeaked like an horror movie and both the ac and fan stopped working the last night of our stay. We called the front desk and the said they would send someone but never did. The staff does their best to clean, smile, offer assistance, and entertain. The food is good, though one night we had a reservation at the Italian restaurant, waited 20 minutes just to get water after another 20 with no one taking our order we got up and went to the buffet. The beach is close but you constantly get guys trying to sell you their excursions. Over all we made the best of it…
