We had a great time at Iberostar in Cozumel. The property was clean and all the food service people were very accommodating. Not all of the on site restaurants were open and the newly renovated buffet facility reopened the day before we left. Most all of the food served at the buffet was pretty good however there were some of the choices that shouldn't have been set again after two or three days. Our room was kept clean and our towels and bed sheets were changed out at least once during our week stay. The purified water stations were easily accessed.

The landscape was beautiful. It had a very tropical feel to it. The food was good and the rooms were big and clean. The sand on beach was great but it is all rocks getting into the water. You can walk to the pier to get into the water but I didn’t want to walk that far. That was the only thing I was disappointed with on this trip. We were there 12 days. Very nice overall!

The property is beautiful. The beach isn’t the prettiest- lots of seaweed - but snorkeling off the pier is very easy. The food was disappointing; really just average.

The resort was very well kept and the food was amazing, hands down one of the best food experiences my wife and I have ever had. The beach was rocky and had a good amount of seaweed, but it didn't smell and the water was beautiful. The resort basically sits directly in front of a reef and so make sure to bring some goggles or snorkeling gear so you don't have to rent it. Overall a great experience with the staff being very attentive and helpful throughout our 1 week stay. Oh and the shows were also amazing, the staff that they have performing put in work on the stage and all of the shows were a great time.

We enjoyed our stayed at Iberostar this summer. This is a smaller hotel and is very walkable. We booked a premium room with a king-size bed on the second floor. The hotel is arranged in a chain of bungalows so there’s not one hallway connecting all the rooms. This was nice. Each room had a balcony and the hammock. The hotel staff was very helpful and very friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They were easy to accessible and available. We liked the food very much. The buffet selection was always fresh with themed nights. We tried the Mexican restaurant on site and it was very good. The Asian restaurant was less impressive but not bad. My only suggestion would be to improve the decor of the rooms as it was rather minimalistic, lacking Caribbean charm. Also, the water at the beach was hard to get into and it was not clear. However, the beach was quite nice. This hotel is popular with scuba divers as it has its own pier with boats coming in and out all day long. A snorkelling tour offered by the hotel was amazing. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The restrooms needed attention. The food was not as enjoyable as the Iberostar's in Playa del Carmen. The rocky beach disappointing.

Staff were excellent and room was clean. I was disappointed in the size of the room for the price. Food was good but the buffet is not marked well for allergies. If you ask someone, they will go out the their way to help you though. There is a resident crocodile on the property that is fun to go watch after dark.

There’s really no reason to leave the property, other than to snorkel or scuba dive, both departing from the dock. Upgrading to an ocean view room is also money well spent.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel is a smaller property with bungalow style rooms. As such the hotel host few guests than you might see at a more traditional resort. This made for a relaxing stay that never felt crowded or overwhelming. There are a lot of trees and plants on the grounds, making it feel closer to nature, and not as sterile as some resorts can be as well. The beach was nice, and the hotel has a dock where many excursions will pick you up which is really nice. As beaches go, though, there was nothing else to really to set it apart from other locations. The food was excellent, and they didn't skimp on the alcohol in the mixed drinks. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall I would stay here again. My only real complaint is that with the smaller size, there are fewer activities, so if you're looking for something different each day, you really will have to find excursions for that.

Hotel was very nice, would love to separate the kids from the adults pool, also food was great and not to far from beach
