The hostellerie de la Bouriane, is an excellent place to stay. It is located in a central location, and serves to travel around the area. The hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable, with amenities,tv, shower bath,etc. The owner, and his wife make a tremendous pair. Mathieu, serves as clerk and waiter, very efficient, and his wife the chef is an accomplished chef, terrific dishes. Also they have a great selection of wines. I would not hesitate to stay there again. This place deserves Michelin Recognition. William Gordon Hamilton On. Canada

Everyone here was totally charming and helpful, the hotel is a short walk form the historic centre and the rooms are spotless. On our first night we ate in the restaurant at the hotel and the food was superb, absolutely delicious, and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The place is not worth it to be a *** star hotel it is old and not up to date. it is not customer friendly and the back entrance is a stinking place with a big dog in the small hall way. the hotel has specific opening times,and is closed from 12am up to 15 pm which makes it difficult to check in. the rooms are small with almost no confort.

This hotel is so special. 4 generations run and passed on by the same family. Steeped in history and charm. Delicious food, incredible service and situated in the magical town of Gourdon. Cannot wait to return one day.

A lovely overnight stay and wonderful gourmet food. En route to another town, I needed to spend the night in Gourdon. The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming after a long flight from NY and train ride from Paris. However, I arrived at the train station early in the evening and there were no taxis available at that time of day. The hotel is within walking distance of the station if you are fit (some uphill) and can roll your luggage rather than carry. I recommend that you contact the hotel in advance if you are arriving by train and perhaps they can arrange to have you picked up. If you do not speak French, someone at this hotel, which is run by a couple, speaks English and will be helpful. The town center is very close to the hotel and there are agreeable restaurants for lunch as the hotel does not serve at that time of day.

Location in Gourdon was superb, as it meant that all that you could want from Gourdon was a walk away. Parking outside the front of the hotel was surficient and meant no need to pay extra for parking. Restaraunt in the hotel had had previous good reviews and helped me choose the hotel. Michelin 2013 guide plaque on the front of the hotel is understated the food is magnific.

WOW! What a wonderful restaurant. And the price is excellent! The food was both simple and modern but not at all pretentious. Of course you have to try the foie-gras for dinner. I recommend the "Menu de Terroir". The service is perfect and attentive. The breakfast was beautiful and just enough.

Good hotel overall, with a friendly welcome, good restaurant and copioous traditional French breakfast. My room was not big, but comfortable. Hotel conveniently located within short walking distance to town center and shops.

The hotel itself was perfectly nice. Very typical of a french country hotel. But the staff and owner were delightful. Helpful, thoughtful and charming. I would definitely stay there again.

We felt very welcome. The chief did help us with our bikes. The beds, diner and breakfast were perfect.
