A gem of a hotel right in the heart of the city. Given it is a literal stone’s throw from the central station you might expect the city noise to leech into the rooms but, remarkably, it doesn’t which allows you to be right in the middle of the action without loosing a wink of sleep. The included continental breakfast was also above expectations. In addition to the expected pastries, fruits and bread the hotel also offered cooked eggs, bacon and sausages with freshly squeezed orange juice as the cherry on top. If we were to return the only things we would do differently would be to a) stay longer and b) stick to the standard room. We upgraded to the junior suite this time but didn’t end up making much use of the lounge area.

brilliantly located hotel, right in the centre, and excellent staff. the room was exactly what we wanted; 3 beds for our weekend stay. room was clean, had everything we needed (including a bonus fridge which we didn’t realise we would have!), and was close to everything we wanted to see/do. would highly recommend!

Easy to find, very helpful staff with a great sense of humour on top of it, wonderful rooms, very comfortable beds, all what one may need was there. Nothing to pick on really. I am also gluten free and they had everything ready for me at breakfast time.

City hotel is perfectly located to amenities and public transport. Spacious clean rooms. Tea/coffee/milk/kettle and cold bottled water in fridge was an added bonus. Beds were very comfortable. No noise heard from the street and very peaceful at night. First hotel I've been to where i didn't hear doors banging and noise from other rooms. Breakfast was also very nice and plentiful. Very friendly and helpful at reception too. Would stay here again

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed comfy, and they were generous with pillows.

Clean, in very good location, quiet and spacious room. The first night there was a cigarette smell coming through from somewhere and in the morning I could not open the window as there were noisy road works in front of the hotel from 7am, but at least the room had excellent sound proofing. Overall a good choice with a couple of snags.

From the front desk to the housekeeper to the breakfast staff, everyone was pleasant, professional, friendly. It was such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back to the city hotel.

the hotel is central and walkable to the train station and the local tram and buses pass right outside the hotel. The room was clean and reasonably sized and staff were friendly and efficient to interact with.

No complaints. I didn’t like the slope floor in the entrance to the bathroom it took me by surprise because I didn’t notice it (I have bad balance). I’d be a little cautious at night as it is very close to the train station and there were some questionable people there. Otherwise very spacious room, clean, comfortable bed, nice shower.

Ideal location. We asked for a quiet room and Room 61 was perfect. Very spacious with a separate sitting area. Our own private balcony with outdoor seating (a bit too cold in December). The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The room was spotless! Cozy lighting, very spacious, so welcoming!
