Astonishing house, so much to look at. The whole place felt authentically Victorian, oozing character. We loved the open fire at breakfast. Breakfast was very special, the food and the various serving pieces. This definitely felt like time travel. Would highly recommend, especially to history enthusiasts. Friendly and efficient host too.

A unique experience, totally different from any other accommodation that I have ever stayed in. A lot of care and attention has gone into decorating of the rooms, with many curios and nick nacks.

We were greeted by Paul, who showed us the house and our room and then welcomed us with a pot of tea and cake which he served in the lounge. It is such a unique property with so many fascinating pieces of art, ornaments and furniture. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this B&B

This is a nice place full of old world charm and very different. It is well located for Hastings (10 min drive) and walkable to St Leonards (steep hill up from the beach). Breakfast was very good. Areas where it could improve: 1. The welcome / check in from Paul was efficient but not friendly, nor whenever we saw him. His partner at breakfast next morning was much more cheerful 2. It was our anniversary and I had previously advised the hotel but no response or mention of this by the hotel nor effort to provide anything to acknowledge this 3. Our room was nice but no TV, en-suite toilet/shower and the bath also had no shower which was not ideal 4. There is no easy parking on site but on street parking is fine but perhaps mention this, pre booking Overall, nice enough but you should be aware of what you are getting before you book to make an informed decision (personal choice but I would not book a place without en-suite facilities)

St Benedict’s needs to be seen to be believed! Absolutely fantastic place, you feel like you are staying in a Victorian dolls house (in a good way) Beautiful breakfast with quality sausage & bacon, served in meticulous surroundings by people who really care about what they do.

My boyfriend and I loved our stay and will be recommending to anyone who is thinking of a trip to St Leonard’s. The bnb is decorated beautifully - the level of attention to detail is superb all of which is curated outstandingly. The service was excellent and our host was super helpful with local information. Our room and all amenities provided were of an excellent standard which ensured that our stay was wonderful.

This was the most incredible B&B we have ever stayed at. The decor of the home is amazing; we felt like we were back in Victorian times. Every facet of the house is original, right down to the butter knives and salt/pepper shakers. Excellent breakfast and our hosts were kind and full of information. We were able to stay an extra night and felt right at home.
