Food quality not like it was, portion size reduced, although prices have increased. Helpful staff, and clean hotel.

Clean, comfortable room. Lacked shelving space for toiletries in bathroom. Waited for breakfast items (including orange juice) to be replenished. Overall, facilities were adequate but lacked finesse. Bar staff were pleasant.

Room was nice, I know we don’t have heatwaves very often but aircon would be a welcome upgrade to rooms as was so hot during the night. Also messages prior to trying could have been more friendly.

Character of an old hotel

The room was lovely and warm, clean and modern . A nice welcome on arrival and the staff seemed well trained and polite. The food was adequate but not great if you’re looking for something special . Very usefully , half portions offered on some meals if you don’t want a huge helping. Perfectly fine for me just passing through.

Located in the heart of Greenock, it's a short walk to any of the areas travellers would frequent.

Staff were amazing helpful

Lovely 3 star hotel. Very clean, lovely helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent.

I return to Greenock frequently and was delighted to see the hotel has been renovated. The room was small but so much better for the renovation. Unfortunately it seems to have staffing problems. The barmaid was very stressed since she needed more help. We ordered food but it took so long to come we almost cancelled. It was average when it came. Breakfast was cold since burners not lit. After being shown to table that was last we saw of any staff in breakfast area. Hopefully service will improve- Greenock needs a good hotel.

The staff are very friendly. Check in/out process was super easy! My only complaint is that there was mold on the ceiling in the living area and in the bathroom above the shower. Room just seems to need a deep clean and a little maintenance.

Stayed in room 47, had to wait a good few minutes to check in. Humming noise all night coming from somewhere. Checked out and no mention if room was ok, just you owe £94, which everything was paid for and didnt owe anything. Henwas quite abrupt.

WIFI unrerliable

We were so pleasantly surprised by our stay. We expected a simple hotel that would be all we needed for a location near an event we were attending, but we totally underestimated things. The building is beautiful, our room was clean, well decorated and comfortable, all staff we spoke to were lovely, and both our dinner in the cocktail bar and breakfast in the dining room were good quality.

Room was very clean and fresh, downside a double bed, adults really need a king size regardless of what you’re paying, parking is mostly on street and easy, overall the hotel is well kept and modern.

All staff were super friendly, and welcoming. They were keen to help us settle in, and then to offer suggestions on places to visit and how to get there. Our room was bright and had a beautiful view over the bowling greens. It was the perfect way to begin our UK holiday ... relaxing and low-key. Thank you all.
