I love the original of the hotel overall. The very classic look of every walls, doors, ceilings, lightings etc. Love your bed and pillows. This is a big plus. ❤️But the room with the tub is not very practical.

It was my first visit to Amsterdam; I stayed in Canal House for four nights; this is historic building, total 23 rooms. Staffs are very professional and nice, helpful. Great location for walk around the city, also enjoy the canal just front of Canal. I will select this hotel again for next visit.

We booked the room at the top floor. It's beautiful and HUGE, with a great view of the canal. Loved it. Very romantic. Included breakfast is wonderful, fresh and yummy. Just one weird thing, the first cup of coffee is free but they charge for a second cup of coffee. At the price of this room why ask guests to pay for a second cup of coffee. Seems a little petty.

We are so happy we chose to stay here. I booked a 4 night stay in October 2024 for my boyfriend’s birthday trip and everything from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out was perfect. Wonderful hospitality, gorgeous room, super comfy bedding and the best location. 10/10.

The room was nice and had good bathroom but location of our room was above the bar/kitchen area so the noise of loud voices and slamming door went until 11pm or slightly after. Great patio and location and was clean. The room got warm at night and we had to have window open.

This hotel was in a great area, we were close to many popular destinations. The room however, was extremely small, having travelled to many European countries we expect a smaller room but we barely had any space for our luggage. We also arrived in a heat wave, and we booked under the impression the hotel had air conditioning as stated online, however the air conditioning did not work and our room was 28 degrees. The nights cooled off but the windows only opened a few inches for safety so we were not able to get any air flow. Overall, for the cost of this hotel we were disappointed with our stay.

Arrived to find the room uninhabitable due to air conditioning, not working. Spoke with the deputy general manager, who said they had no other rooms to move me to. He agreed that I would not be charged. I then notified Expedia. They called him and he said that I was being charged for one night. I went back to him after discovering this and after much discussion, he agreed that there would be no charge. When I arrived home, I found that he has charged me for both nights!

The property and room were very pretty, but the air conditioner was not working and it was very hot in the room. Also when I booked this room the cost was $385. for one night and when I checked my credit card they charged me $427.76! What the heck!! For this reason I cannot recommend this place to anyone. BUYER BEWARE!

Very friendly staff and good location in Amsterdam but we had many issues here. The air conditioning was not working and we couldn’t switch rooms bc the hotel was full according to them. So we had the windows open (as per staff recommendations) and had to deal with mosquitos at night. We were also given the keys to the wrong room (20 instead of 22 with the wrong number in the key holder on our first night so unfortunately we walked into a couple as they were in bed but still awake (not to be too descriptive here) around 2 am in the middle of the night with the reception staff who was guiding us to our room. Breakfast also didn’t look that special. Also Very dusty thick velvet window curtains. Besides the very friendly staff everything else was not great.
