Staff were great, room was tidy. Only downside was the breakfast. Wife is gluten free and although the breakfast was labelled really well……they cross contaminated the breakfast items at the server. The chef was really helpful and cooked a separate breakfast but the cross contamination should never had happened in the first place. Putting gluten sausages with bacon to keep warm is a no no.

The staff were really helpful and accommodating. The room was clean enough, but there was a chip in the bath and a few cobwebs around. It was very basic and the TV was very small for the size of the room. We only ended up eating in the restaurant on 1 day, as we did not feel that there was a lot of choice and due to the size of the room it was very noisy and you could not have a conversation with whoever you were with. I understand about not taking drinks etc outside, but I feel that they should install a seating area outside to accommodate that especially where the weather is so warm and it would not be so noisy and you could have a conversation. We were not very impressed with the breakfast and did not feel that it was value for money.

Lovely place but we had a noisy bathroom fan that was on permanently including all night. Not allowed to take drinks outside without a plastic glass and the good beer had run out anyway so had to have cider or their Witches Piddle brew.

Do not stay in the tower suite - they do not clean the room before you check in. Bugs in the bed, on the floor, up the walls. You have to keep the light off to stop the bugs swarming you. Hairs in the bed. Room is like a sauna and way too hot to sleep in, regardless of how many fans the hotel gave you. The shower handle also gets stuck so the water can run into the bedroom. Normal rooms are ok - better than a hot, dirty room with bugs.

Had a lovely time at the Wookey hole hotel. It's the second time in 2 years that we have been. Situated next to Wookey hole itself, just a stone's throw away. The place was spotless and clean. Staff were friendly enough. No problem parking. The restaurant now offer a buffet breakfast service for breakfast. How ever I much preferred having breakfast made to order, as no fried eggs only scrambled. Also I preferred it freshly cooked and delivered to your table. Not keen on the buffet breakfast personally. Other than that, it's set in such a lovely idyllic picturesque part of Somerset. Altogether very good value for money. Speaking of money, the hotel lacks a cash machine and you need to travel a couple of miles to get to one.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the room was spacious and comfortable.One negative point: the bathroom extractor fan wasn't working and the shower wasn't handheld, but fixed to the wall, causing a lot of splashing.

Very spacious rooms, a lot of privacy offered, good showers, good Wi fi I specifically want to name Diane or whoever the staff lady was evenings of Thursday and Friday night June 4th and 5th - so so kind and understanding - I needed soya milk and to stay and work online outside check out time and she was very helpful. All staff are exceptionally helpful and kind Great parking capacity, wonderful surroundings

Room and bed very clean, interior of hotel needs a refresh and little update. Plug in bathroom sink stuck down and bathroom mirror light wouldn’t turn off. TV the size of an iPad. If you’re after a clean bed for the night it’s fine and price was ok.

Breakfast was good

I'm sorry but this was did not make huge impression on me. If the price is right then go ahead and bot. It has its unusual name wooky... I stayed just one night.

Room was excellent, comfortable and great value for money. Perfect location for visiting local attractions and of course Wookey Hole show caves right on your doorstep

The reception staff welcomed us in a friendly efficient manner a lovely lady - the room was great everything was spotless - bar staff were friendly - we had an evening meal i can recommend the Chicken & Ham Pie it was delicious- we had a great time at this hotel also we visited the Wookey Hole Cave a fantastic experience

Cooked breakfast was lovely, and very good value for money, good selection of other breakfast foods too. Room was lovely and clean, staff all seemed very friendly. Bar was well stocked, we stayed for the 2 for 1 cocktails (they were a little strong for us - but for others that could be perfect) We also ate in the hotel for one evening, although the selection was maybe a little limited what we did eat was really good. Would happily recommend this hotel

great staff and lovely clean room

Lovely clean large room, great bath to soak in, super comfy bed, a nice TV, many charging points to plug in your devices. The Staff are friendly and helpful, Breakfast was ok, Scrambled eggs are I would say being an experienced chef, made from liquid egg, sausages were nothing special, bacon and mushrooms were fine, nice croissants, some breakfast cereal, average breakfast, Our room was very clean ,smelled fresh, including the en suite toilet.
