Staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. One of the highlights was definitely the beautiful views — perfect for enjoying the surroundings and disconnecting. Overall, a pleasant and peaceful place to stay. I would definitely recommend it

Great views, room was spacious, the restaurant menu was somewhat limited, and an eco-friendly water station was needed. All in all, it was a good place, and I hope to visit again.

Spacious, quiet room with a beautiful view. The hotel restaurant has one of the best settings in San Juan, and we really enjoyed the food. Service was very courteous. Convenient path to San Juan town, plus the hotel has its own pier for boat access. Free kayaks for guests were a great bonus.

We found the property to be quite loud throughout the entire night. The window in our room was only wood shutters (no glass) and there was much road noise, honking horns, dogs barking and fireworks. Additionally, our room was up VERY steep stairs (approx. 200) with limited handrails. This wasn’t advertised or mentioned when we made the reservation or checked in. We are in our mid 50’s and in decent shape and struggled with these steps, not safe for children. The breakfast that was included was delicious and all the staff was friendly and courteous.

The gentleman at the reception desk was the best, he was so helpful and honestly I rate him and his service as excellent! Unfortunately for me the beds here are not good for me and I was not able to get a good nights sleep.

Expect to encounter pleasant and welcoming staff and fantastic, rustic landscaping. As for the room, you may be best served contacting directly to confirm the room and to have a reasonable expectation. Our expectation was not met and the room we had matched no other pictures on any of the listings. Everything on Expedia looks luxurious compared to our room. I did see a recent review posted on google in which the picture of the bathroom looked identical, and they expressed a similar opinion. Again, there appeared to be nice rooms to stay in. We were given, what we can only hope, was the most rundown and rustic room.

Disappointing. A lot incorrect or misleading items on listing. Many of the activities listed were not evident. Minimal communication about facilities. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in in Guatemala and it provided the least amenities. We were given a room in an annex [that is not mentioned in the listing] which was so far from the main building that the Wi-Fi did not reach it. When we asked to change we were told that nothing was available yet the next morning early, before the maids arrived, we walked past two empty rooms. The stairs to the room were dangerous especially at night because of building debris that had not been cleared. Not sure what the Eco in the hotel name denotes but it is neither ecological or economical. The restaurant hours were not greatly convenient and the breakfast service so erratic that we opted to eat elsewhere in the evening when we would have otherwise patronised the hotel The whole place is badly maintained run down and cheaply run.

Beautiful location - however, the room was not great. The shower only had cold water, regardless of how long it was left to run for, and the hotel definitely had more of a hostel vibe. Lots of dead bugs/dust in the bathroom. The balcony is shared and is right outside the window, meaning you need the curtains pulled at all times; otherwise, other people can just peer in. Wasn't a big fan of the food. Overall, OK experience, but could've been improved with warm water and more privacy.

I truly loved my stay here. It exceeded my expectations. The amenities were amazing, from the complimentary breakfast to direct lake access with included kayaks. Being able to bring my pet along made it even better! The staff were wonderful, friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The rooms were beautiful, very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. The property itself is stunning. Perfect for spending time outdoors, connecting with nature, and taking in the peaceful views. The free breakfast was traditional, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again!
