It is a kilometre away from city centre but if you walk a half a kilometer, you will find restaurants, they just won’t have the same energy as the city center, which if you’re looking for a quiet environment is perfect. The staff were super friendly and I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody looking for an out of this world experience.

Great palace....not an hotel 👌

What a Greek experience! This family-run, hotel is like stepping back into a more simple, regal time. This is a stay for those willing to slow down, immerse themselves in Greek culture and enjoy a more basic experience. If you enjoy character, personality and good people this is for you. The amenities are very simple but adequate. The hotel is a bit like a museum with beautiful antiques and architectural flourish. The rooms have balconies with sea views and AC. Sure the hot water only comes on during the time of day when people bathe, but it’s rustic. Don’t come to this hotel if you expect every convenience and luxury, come for the experience and the family. We were lucky to be there for Greek night, when musicians come for dinner and the old patriarch of the family sings and dances. The festivities lasted late into the night. A true Greek experience. The food was authentic Greek and delicious. There is poolside service for snacks and drinks. The hotel is run by two generations and everyone was warm and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate us. Step back in time, slow down and enjoy what is important in life, the experience, but, don’t come looking for Egyptian cotton bedding and day spa services.

Lovely old baroque building - bits needed repair - safe did not work nor phones and gym sadly not useable but this was being repaired - however staff amazing and helpful. Any problems resolved quickly. Location only short walk from town - lovely pool.

The owner and his family are very nice and greeting us. The owner is taking good care of us. He even offer us a ride to the port. It's only 11 minutes walking from his hotel. The view is amazing.

This hotel is very old you feel like you are in 1970’s. The outside look nice but inside it feels like you are in your grandma’s house. NO HOT WATER, no shower door, no working coffee pot at breakfast, breakfast was no good and the room key had a weight on in that had to be returned to the desk when you left the hotel.

Lovely hotel with a quirky interior and very friendly staff. Overall, the place was full of charm. Unfortunately there are no partitions or privacy measures between the balconies and that genuinely marred my stay. Both rooms I stayed in had either noisy or chain-smoking neighbors in the balcony. It is a shame such an asset is not looked after by the hotel so that guests can enjoy it.

We left a mobile phone out overnight on the balcony on the first night of the stay and in the morning it was gone. The phone has a feature to locate it remotely which indicated it was still in the hotel. We notified management, who helped us look for it around the grounds, but they would not search any guest rooms. Only when we advised them that we were going to contact the police did our phone suddenly turn up, fully charged, in the room we had stayed in and had thoroughly searched. The phone's tracking features told us it had been moved a few hundred meters and the SIM card had been reinserted.

Staff was extremely helpful suggesting places to visit, places to eat, explaining how the buses work and even arranging a rental car. Hotel is in a good location to explore the town. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet

It was full of charm but quite run down - we had serious plumbing problems with water constantly coming up thru the drain in the bathroom

Great position on sea front. No steps to climb! Very quirky hotel done in old Greek style. Amazing pieces of furniture! Friendly, helpful staff. If you want a different experience from minimalistic trend try Prince Stafylos.

Exactly what I wanted

The hotel is atmospheric and spacious. Wood paneled and old fashioned feel. Rooms are spacious and have good view. Good breakfast buffet.

This is an old hotel but it was ok. Close to ferry port.

We LOVED the Prince Stafilos hotel! It was utterly charming! We had a double room with 2 balconies facing the sea. The pool was great, with excellent bar service. Staff members were all courteous and helpful. It is a short walk to "town"-- only complaint is no shower curtain--apparently an issue throughout Greece!
