It is not an Aparthotel, like in the description. There is no housekeeping and getting in for the first time is a disaster (others reported the same). Even though they had my contact from Expedia, they only sent me the details to get in after I had to call them (multiple times) with expensive roaming. The apartment is run-down and on the most ugly balcony I ever saw we had the AC-outlets of all five floors. Good we didn’t came in summer!

Amazing clean place!

The place is small, but it is clean and in a great and lively neighborhood. Walking distance from everything. Great!

The matress was really hard, no view from the room, small. But was clean, was ok

Great location but apartment is EXTREMELY small. Bathroom/showers are tiny, kitchenette is a nice amenity but we didn't use it - we would have but you can barely move around the room with your luggage.

It would have been nice studio, but two things happened: 1) The building elevator takes you directly into your room and it's located maybe 2 feet from your bed so you can hear the elevator going up and down all night. 2) The electricity kept going out every couple of hours in the apartment for no apparent reason, we had to reset the breaker box a couple of times

Great apartment studio and great location, short walk to the beach and central areas! The only thing is on Hotels.com it says they have an airport shuttle and daily housekeeping and that is false.

The hotel broke my suitcase as we left it there that morning before checking in later that day. On discussing this, the manager was very rude and also didn't provide the correct room that we had booked. I would not stay here again!

Nice area and comfortable room

Area is amazing-- so many great things outside your doorstep. Apartment is quite small but comfortable. The only frustrating part of our stay was that we received no instructions about how to check in. So we hauled our suitcases on public transportation to the apartment, only to find it empty with a sign saying that the main rental office was in an adjacent neighborhood. So we hauled our stuff to the rental office, checked in, and then hauled our stuff all the way back. More clear instructions would have been really helpful.

Strange set up. Elevator inside the room and can hear this going up and down all night from other guests in building. 2 single beds pushed together. Extremely small. they do not clean the room or change towels sheets etc.

No pick up on site. No clear directions where. Bad heating. No soap. Lift opens in room but not reassuring.

We loved that we were really central to everything. We were actually moved to another apartment due to there being no water in the other apartment so was very accommodating. Pillows however were very uncomfortable, satellite channels did not work, hot water runs out fast, we also lost WiFi connection for an entire day. The streets are noisy so if you looking for something quieter this is not the area for you.

My sister and I loved the studio apartment, it was clean and in very good condition. The kitchenette area is very convenient and doesn't take up too much space. We stayed in June and were thankful for the AC in the room. My only criticism would be that the room was not cleaned during our stay because we only stayed for 4 nights, which is somewhat understandable, but when we asked for more (clean) towels to be dropped off we were told no because the limit is two towels for two people.

The location can't be beat. Right in the Born neighborhood, a short walk to the beach or the Gothic quarter. Great restaurants just downstairs in the same building. It's a small set of rooms - the elevator opens right into the room. The room is nothing special. It was very small. There is a balcony, but it was small and was used to store cleaning supplies. You'd be able to walk out onto it without the cleaning supplies there, but, as is, there's not enough room to walk out onto it. There were ants in the room. Very little shower pressure. Shower door was missing it's handle. No toiletries. No safe. The room is only cleaned after your stay, not daily. Three stars seems like a stretch to me. Good wifi though. You have to go to a separate office to check in. It's not far, so no big deal, except the check-in communication was a little off. We were early, but were told the room would be ready at 1:30. We got our keys at 2:30 and walked about 10 minutes to the room. It was still being cleaned. We were told to come back at 3pm. Not a big deal, but a little poorly managed.

So close to Museu Picasso and Barcelonetta! Lively part of town late into the night. We had a great time but if you go to bed early, it might be too loud for your taste.

Another great stay with AinB.

The bed was extremely hard and the elevator that opens directly into the room had me nervous all the time! One time the cleaning staff opened the elevator onto us sleeping, we also walked in on them cleaning our room without notice. Check in is super tricky. You need to go to the main building for check in which wasn't specified. Therefore I carried my 23kg backpack between the apartment and the main office, which was about 500 metres either way! Check in staff were good, even watched our bags while we explored Barcelona before check in!

Difficult to find reception , received a nice upgrade

The room is a 10 minute walk from reception, and they do not help with carrying bags to your room, so you are on your own. The elevator opens directly into your bedroom, and on one occasion the cleaning staff came up from the elevator to find us half naked taking a nap in the middle of the day between seeing the sites (very uncomfortable). The hotel confirmation included buffet breakfast. There is no buffet breakfast, and we actually had to fight with them in order to get a voucher for a croissant and coffee from a café down the street. The confirmation listed free wireless internet. There was no internet working the entire time we were there. We complained on 3 different occasions about it and it was never fixed during our stay. We ended up spending 25 dollars to use our own internet access via our phones because this amenity was not available. There was also no phone in the rooms, so we spent another 25 bucks just making calls locally on our personal cell phones because there was no phone available there, any the staff was unwilling to make calls for us. Staff was slow, and did not take care of our issues or concerns.
