Arrived early Sunday morning and greeted with a very warm welcome and our room wasn’t ready but advised we would be contacted as soon as it became available. They went above and beyond our expectations and emailed to say that the room was ready When we arrived back at check in they had upgraded our room. Such friendly and help staff Special mention for Celia the guest relations manager Thank you so much for making it extra special Looking forward to returning next year

Could have been excellent throughout our stay but for the service in the great new bar. First time I’ve ever walked away from a bar because after I put in my order we were simply ignored. Disappointing given everything else was excellent!

The Conrad Algrave was absolutely faultless. We had an incredible 4 days for my sisters birthday. The rooms are just fabulous. And the large balcony to sit and watch the sun go down with a glass of fizz was truly a highlight. The breakfast buffet was sublime, the pools were gorgeous (if not a little cold - it was October!!). We cannot fault the place. It was just wonderful. Can’t wait to revisit soon xxx

We have stayed here many times. It is a lovely hotel. This stay lived up to and even exceeded expectations. Everything was first class. The welcome when we arrived, the staff at the dado pool and at breakfast were all very friendly and professional. We have been here twice this year and can’t wait to return again in the spring.

Avoid this dying homage to the tech bros at all costs. Cold, sterile, unwelcoming, and starting to crumble right before your eyes. What might have looked sleek a decade ago is now dated, tired, and neglected. (See photos) Dilapidated buildings, dying shrubbery, trash in the flower beds, ants in my sink, scorched irons that stained my paints, electrical outlets that don’t work, “soft close” toilets that now slam shut, badly stained lounge chairs, water stoppages so that you can’t use the bathroom, incessant construction noise, the list goes on… Service was even more disappointing. It swung wildly from genuinely warm and helpful, to overly obsequious (which quickly became irritating), to completely absent. On arrival, no one greeted us when we pulled up to check in. In the lobby bar, we waited 50 minutes before finally tracking down a server ourselves just to order drinks. Service around the pool was no better. Housekeeping couldn’t manage the basics of restocking our room. The one redeeming element was the food, which for us was excellent across the board—creative, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care, especially at Gusto, their Michelin star. Some guests complained about the breakfast, but we did not sample that. In short: Conrad Algarve boasts 5 stars, but really offers only a 2 star experience. Have stayed here a few times. Always find it very impersonal. Very clean, comfortable. Room service menu and service extremely poor. Just seems soulless. Spa very good and massages always superb. Have never been given any Hilton gold member benefits. Disappointing on the whole.

Awesome hotel, we upgraded room and were not disappointed, it was fabulous. Make sure you include breakfast as we did not and is an expensive option when on site ( 10% service charge for a buffet breakfast my only gripe)

The most wonderful stay in a perfect location with staff who made you feel special. I cannot praise staff highly enough, ALL were incredibly friendly, helpful and genuinely upbeat which was so refreshing. The pool area staff could not do enough for you and the detail housekeeping went to, not only cleaning but tidying was impressive. A big plus for me were the two pool areas. The adult only infinity pool was a standout perk and one I’d pay extra for! The breakfast was delicious with a plethora of options including bubbly and quality coffees. I’m always disappointed by scrambled eggs in hotels but not at the Conrad! We only ate in the hotel once (Louro) and although pricey (even for the area) it was delicious. The cocktails in the bar, again slightly pricey but were well thought out and the nibbles to accompany were enough to forget the price tag. Just a few negatives to note but did not affect our stay… Basic TV channels and the inability to cast. Although the sun enticed us out most of the time, it would have been nice to relax with the odd show of our choice either on the good size main TV or decadent bath TV. We did experience some tech issues which might have been nice to check pre-check in, but they were swiftly resolved. The beach concession wasn’t Vale de Lobo, which would have been more favourable. To summarise, if you’re looking for a touch of luxury and staff who look after your every whim, this is the hotel for you. Spotless and peaceful.

Excellent hotel, all the staff from reception, restaurant, pool staff etc were excellent and very friendly! Only one small thing , the buffet breakfast could have been a bit warmer, but was very impressed with their gluten free options!will definitely return!

Anybody that knows the Conrad and how exceptional it has been over the years will notice the difference(it has apparently changed hands) Gone are the days of excellence allround which is disappointing and building works should have been notified before booking(in which case we wouldn’t have bothered) It’s still ok but i would no longer recommended it without a second thought as it’s not as good.

As usual the hotel was great but for some reason the was a humming / vibration noise during the night and I couldn’t figure out what it was .. it kept waking me up ..
