I had a wonderful stay at AIRE Hotel & Ancient Baths Almería. The hotel perfectly combines historic charm with modern comfort, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the city. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and very well maintained. One of the highlights was the rooftop terrace with its pool and stunning views of the Alcazaba, especially at sunset. The ancient baths and wellness area were truly exceptional and provided a memorable experience unlike any other hotel I've visited. What made the stay even better was the outstanding staff, who were always friendly, professional, and willing to help. The location is ideal for exploring Almería's old town, restaurants, and main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special and relaxing stay in Almería. I would happily return in the future.

My stay at Aire Hotel & Ancient Baths was the highlight of my trip to Almería and one of the most relaxing and luxurious hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the city. Situated in a beautiful plaza in the heart of the historic center, the hotel is surrounded by outstanding restaurants, cafés, and some of Almería’s most important landmarks. The Alcazaba, Cathedral, San Cristóbal Hill, and numerous historic and religious sites are all just a short walk away. Some of my favorite dining experiences in Almería—Casa Puga, Jovellanos, Cuatro Hojas, La Chumbera, and La Innata—were all less than two minutes from the hotel. The rooftop terrace and pool offer breathtaking panoramic views of the Alcazaba, San Cristóbal, and the Cathedral. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sunset, the views alone make this hotel special. What truly sets Aire apart, however, is the Ancient Baths Spa. The spa is not simply an amenity—it is the heart of the entire experience. The circuit includes multiple baths of varying temperatures, including hot, warm, cold, saltwater, and jacuzzi-style pools, allowing you to completely disconnect and unwind. The eucalyptus steam room with its built-in ice bath creates an incredible contrast that leaves you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. We were a bit concerned about our choice to stay here, as the previous reviews were mixed and some not ideal (Having now stayed we understand why). With that in mind, we paid for a Suite with Bath with a view to getting one of the better rooms, which we believe we did. Positives: Great location. The most spectacular views in the city from the rooftop. Excellent breakfast served each morning. Option to sit on rooftop after a long day seeing the sights. Spacious room overlooking the square (suite with bath). Pleasant staff, with the exception of one who always looked disinterested. My friend used the SPA which she said was amazing Negatives: Irritatingly small bin in room (so had to use plastic bags). Coffee machine with few supplies. Not being coffee drinkers, we asked for a kettle, which didn't work very well. We ended up going out and buying some mugs and 2 glasses as they only supplied paper cups (bit strange). Only two towel hooks in room, so a real pain trying to dry room/pool towels & wet swimsuits. Usual lack of coat hangers - we brought our own, but still had to ask for more. As per previous reviews, broken sun loungers on rooftop ... why have these not been addressed? Paintwork & furniture on rooftop looking a bit tired. So, all in all, very nice place that lets itself down by not dealing with the smaller stuff that would make it perfect. That said, if visiting Almeria again, would likely stay again as we felt the positives outweighted the negatives :)

Great everything. Especially enjoyed the cava on ice that was in the room waiting upon arrival. Best part tho is the rooftop with the heated pool and the best view in town. Not to mention the e amazing vending machine full of great drink options. Liked it so much I’ve already booked another stay here in the near future. Well done and thanks for the hospitality!

Wonderful breakfast. Hotel very central so easy to walk to museums and other attractions.

Nice stay, excellent location. Spa was ok and warm perfect for colder nights. Breakfast was ok.

Nice looking hotel, clean spacious rooms (we had junior suites) and great location next to a nice square. The roof terrace was a bonus and the breakfast was good. The detractors were mainly down to the design of the hotel. The breakfast area on the top floor is minuscule with only 5 or 6 very small tables and the buffet essentially in a cupboard, so while the breakfast selection was good it was very awkward negotiating among other guests. Although the hotel wasn’t busy there was very little space at breakfast so don’t expect to be able to sit together if you’re in a group. The design of the rooms would also put us off returning unfortunately, and none of this was evident from pictures online. If you value any sense of privacy (especially if not sharing the room with a partner) then you will have an issue with the bathrooms. Between the rooms we had, the one with the most privacy had a very finely frosted glass door behind the bed that did nothing once the light was turned on in the bathroom. In the worst room, the shower enclosure was completely exposed to the entire room with no frosting and the toilet behind a loose fitting frosted door. All completely unnecessary and avoidable design decisions that would put many people off (including our group had we known). Overall the hotel is more design over function. We mostly enjoyed our stay but unlikely to return due to the above.

Car parking garage is not same building where is hotel , driving to there garage is nightmare, you know what that mean, couldn’t find there garage almost 1hours.

Fantastic location. Great views from the rooftop terrace whilst having breakfast. Very quiet. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel staff were completely unhelpful to the point we felt unwelcome. Aire corporate should be quite concerned that their brand is being damaged by the staff at this location. Currently it’s a 1 star staff masquerading at a 4 star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Driving and parking in this part of town is an absolute nightmare and once you get to the property, the staff acts as if you’re intruding on them.

Very Dark decor, bit run down,

The hotel was lovely. Sitting on the rooftop looking over the Plaza was stunning. Loved the swimming pool. Booked the 90 min session in the ancient baths. The flotation pool was so relaxing. A few tweaks would make this place perfect - the shower in our room leaked right down the marble steps into the bedroom leaving it quite hazardous and there was limited space to hang towels etc. Woukd return for that beautiful view!

Great facility, just don't buy the breakfast. It is simply not worth it

We love AIRE spas and booked in for a 2 night stay with a spa treatment. The decor is lovely and the whole place smells nice. Staff were lovely and it’s in a great location, in walking distance of the main attractions in Almeria. Bed was massively and we slept pretty well. Our hotel booking included 1 visit to the spa thermal experience, but you need to book in advance (by email). Breakfast was okay - mainly pastries/breads and fruit with no hot options available. The pool area is fairly small, there are only 4 sun loungers (2 of which were broken so you can’t move the back into an elevated position) but the pool was nice and clean and the views were lovely. The room was large, although the layout takes a bit of getting used to as there is no privacy when you are on the shower/toilet! The walls of the toilet could have done with a scrub as I could see lots of stains/limescale marks. There were an overwhelming number of light switches, it took us a long time each night to get all the lights switched off as they had to be switched on/off in a specific order. Room 107 was a little loud as it is located over some steps which lead into the courtyard and voices carried.

Excellent hotel for one night stay in Almeira after landing. In Almeira airport and needing to chill before onnnward travel . Old town Almeira is very trad Spanish with some nice little tapas bars right by the hotel , the ancient cathedral and moorish fort just a short walk. Only thing that lets it down is no hotel restaurant but there is an excellent restaurant right next door , only thing that stops me giving it five stars is the breakfast which was very pricey for what you got. Very continental with no warm options not even a boiled egg which as a Brit is essential to me dso I chose not to have but as I say many small tapas bar options right next door. Roof terrace and swimming pool excellent place to chill in the evening with superb views of ancient city walls etc but a shame not a bar although the vending machine served ceveza and small bottles of wine all nicely chilled. All in all whenever flying into Almeira airport the regional hub I will stay here again. Actually spent two nights this time, on the way in and on the way out.

Hotel has great staff, and their spa services are the best

We stayed for 1 night on route to Granada and this is a beautiful hotel in a great location the staff were very efficient and polite. the room had had a queen size bed and we had a great nights sleep I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone if you find yourself in Almeria. The views were outstanding from the roof top terrace.

Lovely hotel, excellent service and very helpful. The only thing was building was very noisy and leave blower very early in the morning.
