We booked this for the good price and it ended up being a wonderful surprise. The kids area and the pool and Spa and rabbits and guinea pigs were all awesome. The room was tiny but comfortable and there was everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic. We decided to eat dinner there too and it was seriously so so good. I would definitely come here again. Also it was quiet even though it was full and had plenty of kids!

The only complaint I would have towards this property is the breakfast. The food didn’t look fresh. The scrambled eggs were ‘creamsted’ on both mornings. Big, hard, dry lumps with no moisture.

Hotel-Gasthof Storchen was a great base for our trip to the area. Great welcome, friendly hosts. Rooms spotless and restaurant and breakfast food great with a wide choice. We will be back.

Room was quite small but had the benefit of a balcony and small kitchenette so overall OK. Breakfast had a good choice at the buffet. Spa facilities pretty good but the pool was rather small and had lots of wasps around making it difficult to enter the water. Good location for exploring the area by bike.

Overall the experience was okay. It is a family hotel with various annex buildings and a restaurant. It would probably be okay for a vacation, if the nightly rate were lower. The room was cramped to walk around in, but did have a balcony and a kitchen from the 1970s. We were traveling from Switzerland home to Stuttgart, Germany and wanted to check out the area along Lake Constance. The night before, I was looking at the Travelocity site on a smartphone, trying to find a good deal. Since it was the day before the stay, there was not much available. I found the hotel Storchen with room for two adults and two children for a price certain price. The pictures showed it to be okay, and I reserved the room, since it was about 20 Euro cheaper than the Novotel (with indoor swimming pool and modern rooms) in Constance. There were plenty of parking spots outside and the reception personell were nice. There was not much open in the town when we checked in, since we got there at 7:30 pm, and we ate in the restaurant attached to the hotel. The adult food was great, but the fries tasted off. The next morning, we ate the provided hotel breakfast, which was nice enough, even though the plates ran out and weren't restocked. The orange juice was freshly pressed and tasted great. The layout of the breakfast buffet was not very practical, which caused some backlog during the busy breakfast time. At checkout, found out that two kids under 10 had increased the price by 90 Eur. Too much, I think.

Comfortable beds, friendly staff, close to Meersburg and Lake Constance. The bathroom is clean. Unfortunately breakfast was not included in our room price and was quite an expensive add on. We went to the bakery next door.

We were very happy at the Storchen. the staff were wonderful, the food superb, the room very nice. the hotel is situated at a convenient site within easy walk, or bus, to the main Lake Promenade. i'd recommend the hotel very warmly and without any hesitation.

Most things were fine, but the (not free) wifi reception was poor at best - only really available in the reception area - and not available elsewhere.

Awesome! hubbby and I liked the family style hotel. Breakfast is satisfying and the room was clean and comfortable. We plan to stay in this hotel again when we go back in the summer. We both like the Lake Constance and Meersburg is the place to go. Lovely and romantic place.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean and well organised. Staff were mostly very friendly, and helped to cross the language divide to the best of their ability! Our fault that we are not fluent in German! Very good food at reasonable prices. We had not realised when booking that the hotel seems to specialise in catering for couples with young children. As we are an older couple this might have put us off, but actually it was fine. Worth being aware of, though, if you really want a quieter atmosphere. Breakfast was very busy at times. Internet access was given out in 5 hour password limits which seemed unnecessary and was a bit aggravating as were staying for 6 days. had to keep asking for another password code. Not the end of the world, though. Lovely walks and cycle paths running to and along the lake.

A delightful stay at this family owned hotel. The hotel is divided into hotel rooms and serviced apartments - if you want self catering make sure you ask for that. Staff are dressed in traditional costumes and the dining room is decorated according to the season. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful. Storchen is in the centre of the North Shore, not much to do in the little Village but only a short drive to all the main attractions in the area. Excellent value for the money.

Nettes familiäres Hotel. Leider macht die Sauna und Schwimmbecken sehr früh zu und kann so eigentlich nur genutzt werden wenn man tagsüber nicht unterwegs ist. Service beim Frühstück sehr personenabhängig.
