Comfy beds and good restaurant with room service available. No free water or tea apart from at breakfast but they did pack us a breakfast box when we had an early start.

Contrary to other recent reviews our stay was fine. It has an excellent location around the corner from the cathedral. We booked a suite, no smell, clean and a comfortable bed. It had a wall fan heater. It was so large we had no need for the sitting room (which had a light well). The bedroom had seating and windows onto the street (which is not noisy). Good breakfast with eggs to order. Also laundry by the kg. We did pass some rooms where their windows utilize the interior light wells but I suspect that's reflected in the pricing. However, despite messaging requesting a taxi pick -up it was not actioned. The train station is 8 mins away but some pavements are not luggage friendly. It's better to overshoot Arequipa take the pedestrinised section linking Pino with the Cathedral, overshoot the hotel turn left and left and it's across the road.

My room was clean and the bedding etc in good condition. A radiator and spare blankets came in handy during the cold nights/mornings. The location, a couple of blocks from the main square, was excellent. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfast was slightly limited for the size of the hotel. Fresh eggs, omelettes etc were available (and tasty) from the eggman, but if you were in a line behind a tour group, it night require patience as this was the only way to get cooked eggs. Given the nature of Puno and tourists' depatures for tours or buses at all hours, i found my sleep disturbed by the clatter of suutcases / chatter of guests on more than one occasion. I would recommend that at the next investment cycle, the hotel look into soundproofing / acoustics

The room was very nice with clean bedding and bathroom. The hot water and shower pressure were decent. There is a heater in the room and extra comforters/ blankets in case it is a little colder. Staff are super friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel with a friendly staff but unfortunately it has horrible Internet. If you are a tourist staying one night, it is a fine place. We were there for business and it has a lot of policies that are unfriendly to business travelrrs in addition to the Internet, which is often unusable. And instead of a managed WiFi they have five routers and you just have to find one that works We booked a larger room so we could have some private meetings only to find out that no guests are allowed in the room, which was never disclosed at booking. They did offer to let us meet in the common space but it was not as private. The breakfast is really nice and the rooms are spacious and modern.

I felt that the room was too dark aside from that I must say that they provide excellrnt service. I had altitude sickness and they call a doctor who came to my room. Their prices were very reasonable when it comes to the refreshments in the in room refrigerator.

A great location, just off the Plaza de Armas. A beautifully presented Hotel. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Spacious common areas, with a variety of seating. A reasonably priced restaurant, with nicely prepared food. The room was clean, comfortable bedding...with a functional private bathroom. We can recommend this Hotel, which is close to all amenities.

The location was good. The breakfast was adequate. We were also able to get our laundry done for a fair price. The room was nice. The only issues were that the room refrigerator did not work. The room internet was not working for all three days we were there. We had to go to the lobby for internet.

My friend and I have been traveling in Peru and have lucked out in all the hotels we've stayed in thus far. We booked through Expedia and when we got off the bus, they said they didn't have a room for us...but when I arrived with our confirmation in hand, they got things going. The staff were friendly, informative and helpful. The beds were comfortable, though a bit dark in terms of lighting. This hotel was in a great location right near everything in Puno and we were happy we stayed there...and would definitely come again!

Casona Plaza was an ok choice for Puno where choices are limited. It was quite dated but overall fairly clean and comfortable and our room (king suite) was spacious. There was a heater which was much appreciated as it was quite cool in September. The breakfast was average. The location was good for exploring Puno, close to restaurants, markets and the plaza with the cathedral. Puno overall felt safe to walk around. We were able to walk to the train station but would not advise it if you have luggage as the streets and sidewalks are uneven. Taxis were available and reasonable. Luckily we got a discounted rate for our room which made it a fairly good value. At full price I would have considered it way overpriced. There were a couple of negatives. There was no bottled water provided except through purchase at the minibar. In every hotel we stayed in for a month in Peru water was provided because the water in Peru is not drinkable. This is obviously standard practice in Peru hotels. Also the staff at the hotel, especially the front desk, seemed unfriendly, bordering on rude. Not sure what was going on but we would probably try a different hotel if we stayed in Puno again.
