PEEP completed on arrival, evacuation plan explained, needs checked overall check in was a positive experience. Room was good size for chair and could get around easily. Bathroom was clean and good size space with good facilities.

Great location and clean rooms but the mattress on the bed needs replacing.

Didn’t like that the facility didn’t have wash cloths for bathing.

Room 307, shower was not warm enough, even turned right up. Air con remote stuck on fan so couldn’t adjust the temperature

Great location a short walk from city centre with a good selection of eating and drinking options beside the hotel. Good breakfast and safe luggage storage.

Very good. Did what we needed from our trip. The restaurant area for breakfast was really busy we only just managed to get a seat. Possibly on the smaller size given there are over 800 rooms. But good selection for breakfast and tasted good.

Came to see a show pretty central for shopping and places to eat. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is a great option for solo travelers, couples who don’t mind a smaller bed and small groups of friends or families who can use the sofa bed. The hotel is definitely well loved, so the conditions are a bit worn in some places. But generally, it’s a great affordable gem in an expensive city so it’s a good go-to option.

Great hotel really central for everything

The hotel was in a great location for us as we were going to a concert at Band on the Wall just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was excellent, with good-quality hot and cold options. We come to Manchester a couple of times a year and in the past have always stayed at another well-known brand (also close by), but the Holiday Inn Express was definitely a cut above!

The room was clean and comfortable. A good choice of breakfast was included and we didn’t have far too walk to the shops, bars and restaurants.

Handy for AO Arena breakfast furniture was too close together

We liked the breakfast area, staff was very friendly and helpful. Was close to Printworks, for restaurants. It was only about a 10 min walk to the AO Arena. Room was very clean, it had all we wanted, tea coffee. Shower was really good. The only think for me was the bed was a bit to soft, so I found it uncomfy.
