Amazing location. Very good breakfast. A great experience for families.

Charming location, facilities and outside scenery (Kastellet and the sea). However, some cleanup and renewal of the area outside of the B&B would be nice.

Super nice historic accommodation, easy access with boat to mainland

Really a great option if you want to stay in Vaxholm for one night. Kids had fun. But generally: 1) the breakfast supplies started a bit too late for early travellers, not too helpful as for the instructions on the direction; 2) no private bathroom (nothing wrong from the descriptions though). Also, the limitation of leaving the island is the schedule of the ferry so do plan ahead:) Enjoy your stay anyway!

Charmigt boende på en unik plats!

Is a unique B&B. The ferry going back and forth to Vaxholm is convenient, although would be good if people staying in the B&B didn’t have to pay to leave the island.

Ett jätte fint ställe som vi gärna kommer och besöker igen. Mysigt rum med sköna sängar, rent och fräscht. Frukosten var också bra. 😀

Room and breakfast was fine. BUT you have to remember that this is s small island 50 meters outside Vaxholm. The last two ferries depart at around 6 PM and 9 PM. After that you either swim or need to order a taxi boat for 30 EUR single way.

as they had all gone home for the day our key was left in an onvelop on the desk with our name on it, when we got to the room the blankets and pillows had stains on them and the floor had not been swhept, there was hair all over and some scrap left behind, the air smellt crampt. now when we cald them about it they gave us the code to an empty room and sayd we could stay in the new room or just take the pillows and sheets from it. we chose to stay in the new room, it was clean, smellt cleaner and was slightly bigger witch we where happy with. now its not one big bed but rather 2 singles put together, this is probobly the norm but if you dont know its the case it might surprice you. the staf was very kind and made sure to make and put out breakfast even when we where the only guests at the hotell, sadly the museum wasent open but thats our fault for not checking befor booking. its a very lovely place but i wish they would clean the rooms beter.

Great place, really difficult to get in touch with the staff to ask about the free breakfast offering. Great place to stay at offseason, few neighbours and calm environment. There is a fridge where you can store your own food because there is no place to buy any at the kastellet-island. You can not cook anything so only bring ready to eat food.

Jättedålig information från Kastellet ang transport till och från. Ingen på plats att fråga, felaktig info när vi kontaktade dem innan. Spindelnät i rummet. Mögel på sänglakan. Kommer inte bo där igen!

Ligger på en ö, enda sättet att komma dit är med privata båt-bolag, så att checka in för att sedan ta sig tillbaka kostar 110:-pp. Inga WC på rummen, men luktade "båt" i rummen. dvs någon slags mögel. Ser dock fint ut och väldigt vackert. Frukosten var OK, inget extra, bra vandrahemsstandard,

Extremely disappointed with the hotel as room not clean, beds smelled bad and shared bathroom for 15 groom. Never again

Cool building. Very expensive to get from/to each day as no facilities- they do have a deal with a local water taxi but still costly for a one minute trip- need to factor in. Nice breakfast but overwhelmed by people and completely ran out of milk! We did know showers not en suite but surprised how far away. Comfortable beds. Clean. WiFi intermittent. No tv. Felt like a posh hostel.

Really nice and special place to stay with its history and placement in the archipelago and closeness to Vaxholm. Furniture and interior matched well- you could feel the history of the building. Breakfast real nice.

Nice to stay in a fortress

Vi bodde på B&B på Kastellet, ett prisvärt alternativ till att bo på hotell. Tog elbåten till Vaxholm och strosade där hela em. Vi hade en fin upplevelse.

Great location and nice, clean rooms. We had the separate part with four rooms and living space, which were really nice. Barely met anyone who worked there. Our keys was in an envelope, and we checked out without having spoken to a single employee at the hotel.

We so enjoyed our stay. Nice and friendly

A unique spot! Bit odd to have to get a ferry at the set times to the island but I loved it for that. Lovely to wander around the fort on an evening. Breakfast was not fine-dining but perfectly adequate for my needs.
