Friendly staff at historic charm make this hotel by the spree very enjoyable. Fairly quiet, great water, pressure and hot water, comfortable and clean. The elevator was broken when I was there which wasn’t a problem, but if you have a lot of bags carrying them up a couple of flights could be hard. I would stay here again. I really liked it.

Very cute and quiet hotel. The staff were great and very friendly. The only complaint I would have is the room may need some maintenance, our room 202 had what seemed like black mold in the washroom ceiling above the shower.

Excellent room, large and comfortable. Clean. Friendly staff. Good location clir to tieregartner station. The facade was being rebuilt, but ut did not cause anu tronle for us.

A lovely older property with high ceilings and large windows in a quiet residential area beside the river Spree. Conveniently located with a short walk to the Metro station ; roughly a three minute walk and 5 minute train journey to Central Berlin, or a very pleasant 35 minute walk along the river with several bars and cafes along the way. The center of old West Berlin is a 15 minute walk through the Park beside the Zoo. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful always smiling and happy to help.

Great authentic German hotel in the quite residential area of Tiergarten. Close to the S Bahn station for easy access into the city centre.

A great hotel on a very quiet street next to the Spree. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My only wish is that they had different bedding. Synthetic sheets make sleeping temperature a challenge for me. I would however highly recommend the place.

This boutique hotel is very special, and a wonderful choice in Berlin. It's in a quiet, residential neighborhood, on the river Spree. It's just a 5-minute walk to the metro. The staff is fantastic. Extremely helpful, and very accommodating. The rooms are sparsely but tastefully furnished. The lobby area is comfortable and is a wonderful showcase for art. Breakfast is terrific, and a great value. Definitely get the breakfast buffet option.

It was excellent, but we think that you could have coffee or tea facilities in the bedrooms.

Well re- done old building. Good location for meals and airport. Nice breakfast. Staff (did not get her name, young lady with short black hair) was very helpful.

A haven of peace in a not too sophisticated area. Entrance is not the most welcoming but the rooms and facilities are excellent value. Breakfast so good for the cost and always plenty of art to enjoy. Will return

The hotel is modified from an apartment and mix with local residence. Parking is on the street. It is not easy to find a parking spot. The facility is very old. However, it is in a very good location. Closing to all major interesting points and airport. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This hotel was great. It’s in an old building with newly remodeled rooms. The traditional high ceilings are very nice. The large room and modern bathrooms are great. The breakfast is great and very reasonably priced. It’s a few minute walk from the Tiergarten S Train Station. Not many restaurants or shops very close by, but it’s a quiet area next to the river.

Everything seems to be fine other than the old building and distance from Central station.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff in a central location. The room was modern and comfortable. The hotel has a quirky relaxed style and nice breakfast buffet. There's a train station a 5 minute walk away. There were plug sockets beside the bed which was very convenient. While the bed was very comfortable the pillows are too soft. The hotel is not very accessible to wheelchairs as there are some steps to the front door.

Hotel is 2 minutes walk from SBahn, in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel is in an older building, and the rooms are nicely set up. Some might be more spacious than others. The personnel is very friendly and knowledgeable. The German breakfast is great.

The man behind the desk knew everything about the Berlin cultural scene; sophisticated taste in concerts and food. Breakfasts were a great deal and just right before a business meeting

Peter, the manager, went out of his way to assist us with early admittance to our room and directions. The breakfast each morning was delicious.
