Amazing hotel!

Cool vibe throughout. Neighborhood was about 20-30 minute walk from the Vieux Porte and major tourist attractions. Neighborhood had some great local restaurants. Breakfast was very good.

All staff really went out of their way to help us to plan our stay in Marseille. Great food and we were not made to feel at all rushed, even though we did not check in until 10pm+

Comfortable rooms with access to the great hotel restaurant at all hours. Best meal we had in Marseille was a dinner at the hotel. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Fun and vibrant decor. Short walk to Old Port and most of Marseille. Staff very friendly and able to help us in English. We highly recommend Mama Shelter!

Decent stay

We stayed in Mama's in Paris during our trip as well and unfortunately one will compare. Mama's in Paris is located in an amazing area, beautiful patio with a great restaurant and wonderful menu. The menu in Marseille was limited but the food was great.

The room wasn't very clean with some hair in the basin and on bed duvet. Breakfast brioche was dry. However the location was nice, and the staffs were friendly. I believe it's still nice overall for the price.

Weekend a Marseille pour visiter et voir un match, nous avons adoré séjourner au Mama. Le staff est au top, le petit dej est toujours canon. 5 min a pied du metro, quartier calme. On vous conseille une boulangerie en haut de la rue qui s'appelle House of Pain, un regal! On retournera au Mama a Marseille pour un prochain match!

Super comfortable bed, easy check-in and near a great local street for food/drinks. It was about 20/25 minutes walk away from the Old Port. Read some reviews about the location feeling a bit unsafe at night but even though the road with the hotel can be quiet it’s brightly lit and we felt fine.

Mama Shelter doesn't disappoint, ample rooms, comfy beds, and great atmosphere that you will find in all their Hotels. Do be aware that the hotel is not located in the center of town, the neighborhood is more artsy and hipster and may be regarded as rough at night by many. The breakfast option is worthwhile, buffet style, complete and good quality food.
